Having spent years perfecting the sounds of others from the shadows as a producer, audio engineer, songwriter, and session musician, Jacob Wing made the bold decision to step into the spotlight. With a burning desire to share his own compositions and virtuosic guitar performances, Wing assembled a group of like-minded musicians to form Wing & The Flight Risks.

Drawing inspiration from the giants of blues and beyond, including B.B. King, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, and John Mayer, the band's influences read like a roadmap of sonic exploration. From the depths of Albert King's soulful expressions to Buddy Guy's captivating energy, from the contemporary prowess of Christone "Kingfish" Ingram to the driving guitar riffs of the Foo Fighters, Wing & The Flight Risks seamlessly blend a myriad of influences into their own signature sound.

Their style is a tapestry of sonic elements. With a foundation of deep-rooted blues forming the bedrock upon which their music stands. It's the interplay of atmospheric guitars that sweeps listeners into uncharted territories. Jazz-influenced rhythm guitar adds layers of sophistication, while each melodic and soulful serenading guitar solo takes flight, weaving emotions that resonate long after the notes have faded into memory.

Tom Morrison (b. 1992) is a composer. His music has been performed in Germany, Thailand, China, Australia, Canada, and across the United States. Morrison is a graduate of the University of Montana (BM) and The Juilliard School (MM), where he studied with Christopher Rouse. He has studied at Freie Universität Berlin and has held residence at the Avaloch Farm Music Institute. Among other awards, Morrison was the winner of the 2016 Thailand International Composition Festival Competition judged by Mark Adamo, Aaron Jay Kernis, and John Corigliano. He has written for and worked with an array of groups, including the Aizuri Quartet, Sō Percussion, and the String Orchestra of the Rockies, among others. He currently lives in Princeton, New Jersey and is a Naumberg Ph.D. Fellow at Princeton University.
