OHM Series continues to round up some of the best and the brightest within the dub techno scene.
Side A begins with blissful and atmospheric journey by Alessandro Crimi, a Switzerland-based producer who has released on various labels and runs the vinyl-only Waehlscheibe. It‘s a diaphanous ambient dub techno approach textured together with tactical precision. Next we move from the softer side of techno to a more banging one with the French producer Benales. With the assistance of 909‘s and dark dub chord, it‘s impossible not to be intrigued.
The flipside starts with a hot prospect: a debut solo release by a Canadian producer named Lakefkt. It‘s dub-driven and thumping at the same time – a delicate, perfect blend. The legendary Outlaw label owner Matthew Oh wraps up the release with an ethereal dub techno voyage. Dubby chords, graceful pads and nifty drums make this one into something special.
OHM Series is the brainchild of the establised Copenhagen-based techno artist OHM (Bjarnar Jónsson) and was founded in 2021.
