As an English artist, producer, and peace activist, Celt Islam has carved out a genre-defying niche that infuses his music with Islamic, Middle Eastern, and world grooves, creating a futuristic dub-driven sound that is as innovative as it is powerful. Along the way, he has shared stages with some of the most iconic names in music, from Grandmaster Melle Mel and The Furious Five to The Sugarhill Gang, Youth, and EAT STATIC. His collaborations and performances include legends like Public Enemy's Bomb Squad (Hank Shocklee), Hardfloor, Scientist, System7, Irina Mikhailova, Culture Shock, Don Letts, Iration Steppas, Winachi Tribe, and The Orb. 

Celt Islam has also performed alongside Mixmaster Morris, Zion Train, Orange Blossom, Slamboree Soundsystem, Coldcut, Gaudi, and Braintheft, to name just a few. His talent has earned him spots supporting renowned artists such as DJ Bobby Friction, DJ Pathaan, and Inder Goldfinger (of Ian Brown, Natacha Atlas, and Apesta fame), as well as Mick Reed (1919, Ship of Fools), Oova Matique, and Dr. Weevil (Desert Storm/DMC). 

In 2010, Celt Islam was personally selected by BBC DJ Bobby Friction to perform at the prestigious BBC Introducing Stage at Glastonbury, marking a significant moment in his career. Sotirios aka Sotokkan first approach with music, dates from the early 80's. 
He started djing Rock and Punk Rock in clubs and bars of Athens, and also was involved in various live projects, rock bands etc.
In 1991 he discovers the world of Trance through parties from the Athenian scene, and in 1994 he visits Goa for the first time.
After traveling, when back, he organizes plenty of underground outdoor parties. 
He is also an active DJ for more than a decade on Ios island.

In 2000, his musical life changes when he finds himself influenced by chill out and dub electronics. 
He becomes a member of Direct Connection, a well known electroDub music collective and founders of SUBnDUB music laboratory around 2003, where he handles live electronic synths and samplers 

But he never stopped to DJing and collecting psy trance music, all those years, 
making him an experienced sound maniac. 

Η πρώτη προσέγγιση του Sotokkan με τη μουσική, χρονολογείται στις αρχές του '80. Ξεκίνησε να παίζει  Rock  και Punk σε clubs και bars της Αθήνας ως Dj, ενώ παράλληλα συμμετείχε σε διάφορα live projects, rock μπάντες κλπ. Το 1991 ανακαλύπτει τον κόσμο της Trance μέσω των parties  της Αθηναικής σκηνής, και το 1995 επισκέπτεται την Goa για πρώτη φορά. 
Μετά την επιστροφή του από  ταξίδια, οργανώνει πολλά underground outdoor parties.
Επιπλέον, είναι ενεργός dj για πάνω από μια δεκαετία στην Ίο.
Το 2000 η ζωή του στη μουσική αλλάζει όταν ανακαλύπτει την επιρροή που έχει από chill out και dub electonics.
Γίνεται μέλος το 2003 των Direct Connection, μιας γνωστής electroDub μουσικής κολλεκτίβας και ιδρυτών του SUBnDUB μουσικού εργαστηρίου.
Δεν σταμάτησε όμως ποτέ όλα αυτά τα χρόνια να παίζει και να συλλέγει psy  trance μουσική, εξελίσοντάς τον σε έμπειρο sound maniac

Direct Connection is a collective musical effort which organized SUB + DUB, its own Dub laboratory in Athens in 1998, in order to explore the correlations among rythm and psycedelia  ... Direct Connection is a live band which converts the studio into a dynamic implement and composes groovy sound phenomena in real time... Direct Connection are randomly various facts which interact, as they are, transforming collective genius into music and video...

Early on, Degiheugi devoured LPs and made turntables roar in a rap crew. But the classical hip-hop sphere quickly proved itself too narrow to echo the massive flow of ideas that irrigated his right hemisphere.
Sound collector, insatiable explorer in search of the ultimate sample, Degiheugi unearths treasures buried deep in the internet abyss or under the dust of time in flea markets. He reinvents the art of merging these sound particles in order to offer them an atomically radiant second life. Imbued with high-end featurings of beats chiseled out from the gold groove is made of, these patchworks are brilliant enough to ignore the codes of abstract hip-hop, and unfold a clear musicality, full of soul reflections and electronic spleen

The duo Lauge & Baba Gnohm consists of Henrik Laugesen and Kalle Christensen, both born in 1985 in Denmark. They first met in 2008 in Christiania. After a successful day in the studio, they decided to put their previous solo projects on hold, and team up. Lauge & Baba Gnohm was formed in the late winter of 2008, and that wintery feeling which was present in their first tracks, still leave traces in their more recent soundscapes. Henrik and Kalle are heavily inspired by nature, especially the arctic parts of the world. Till now Lauge & Baba Gnohm have had many releases on various labels around the globe, as well as being part of a sync company dealing with soundtracks for movies and documentaries. The very first Lauge & Baba Gnohm collaboration release was The Perfect Stranger which was released on the German record label Blue Tunes Records. Along with releases on different compilations, Lauge & Baba Gnohm have released two EPs: Daybreak, on Soundmute, and Monolith, on Chillbase and the full length album "Langbortistan" on Altar Records.

Bio:
The insp-I-ration project was formed in the beginning of 2008 in Athens (Greece), out of appreciation in world musical culture &amp; love for psychedelia, all over a strong dub basis. The results deriving the constant experimentation on every possible source of sound are presented in live performances, interactive DJ sets &amp; musical productions. Nowadays, with the collaboration of its members under the roof of Sub+Dub (the Dub laboratory formed in 1998 by "Direct Connection") &amp; the help from other musicians, producers, DJ's &amp; music lovers, the project is fulfilling its purpose, by becoming something more than a band: a group of friends who express their inner selves via music..
