Welcoming this vibrant duo to Afterlife, Yotto & Stephan Jolk.
This is Stephan's fourth appearance on the label in less than a year, but the first
collaboration with Yotto. With distinctive but synergic sounds, both artists are renowned for their ability to imbue their music with rich musicality and captivating rhythms. On 'New Era’ we are invited to join an odyssey into the infinite field of consciousness. The title track has the typical Yotto rippling rhythm that gallops along while drawing you into its orbit, whereas a melodramatic signature Stephan Jolk riff infiltrates your heart centre. On the flip ‘Only One’ takes a
more unassuming approach, the sombre tones complemented by the main melody which is melancholic, but at the same time uplifting. Dance music with pure soul at its core.

Recondite, a long-time friend of the label, returns for an introspective outing.

With the Bird EP he presents two tracks with contrasting themes that complement each other, demonstrating his technical ability and emotional intelligence. Title track ‘Bird’ explores the notion of freedom through sonic transcendence, offering hope and optimism with its gentle melodies and subtle euphoria. ‘Secluded’ takes the opposite approach, exploring the inner conflict sparked by isolation and living in confinement. Taut beats and brooding melancholy underpin this cut, with a solemn repetitive riff adding emotive urgency.

After professionally training as an opera singer, she found her passion for electronic music when
entering the DJ world. Her entrance is followed by her debut single released last November. Selin
describes her music as emotive lo-fi/chill-hop with an oriental twist.
As a DJ, she loves harmonising Organic / Ethno Progressive House and Deep Melodic Techno vibes.
Her skills in creating vocal harmonies, looping and atmospheric singing, all in a live setting, work
together with her skills as an electronic music DJ to create a mystical experience.

Taken from the "Mirrorman" EP (51Beats, 2021), with "Destinations" Tracya energetically emphasizes the contrast between synthesizers and static pads, keeping exploring his trademark ambient-techno soundscapes by merging with a four-on-the-floor kick drum.

Tracya makes us of a combination of analogue synthesizers, samplers, and a long chain of sound effects, in order to process and alterate the original ideas and to build-up new sonic creatures.
