A new music ensemble for the 21st Century, the [Switch~ Ensemble] is an electroacoustic ensemble in residence at the Eastman School of Music's Computer Music Center.  Switch~ is an initiative dedicated to the performance of works for chamber ensemble and electronics, with a focus on the creation of new repertoire featuring the integration of live musicians, amplification, synthesizers, fixed media, and real-time interactive computer processing.

Considered the most promising young accordionist in the international scene, Nikola Tanaskovic achieves unparalleled international career thanks to over forty awards won at international and national competitions, among them are highlighted: the First Prize at the 51st Internationaler Akkordeonwettbewerb Klingenthal (Germany); First Prize and prize for the best interpretation of the test piece and audience award at the 16th International Accordion Competition Arrasate Hiria (Basque Country); First Prize in the 58th Trophee Mondial de L'Acordeon (Sarajevo, Bosnia); First Prize at the 32nd International Accordion Competition (Pula, Croatia); First Prize at the 15th International Accordion Competition (Sanok, Poland) and First Prize in the 78th Contest of young performers Juventudes Musicales (Gerona, Spain).
He began his music education at the School of Music Isidor Bajic in Novi Sad (Serbia) with Professor Nada Vjestica. For his excellent achievements, both the government of Vojvodina and Serbia's government granted him special awards in recognition for the success and disclosure of his talent.
He continues his academic training at the Conservatory of Music of the Basque Country Musikene with Professor Iñaki Alberdi. To complement his education, he participates in Masterclasses of the most important teachers from different international schools, as Janne Rättyä (Finland), Mika Väyrynen (Finland), Alexey Artemyev (Russia), Yuri Shishkin (Russia), Elsbeth Moser (Germany), Tibor Ratz (Slovakia) and Vojin Vasovic (Serbia).
He has toured and given concerts in Germany, China, Hungary, Serbia, Lithuania, Poland, Italy, Croatia, Czech Republic and Spain. He has also performed at festivals such as Quincena Musical de San Sebastián, in San Sebastian, Spain; Kragujevac International Accordion Festival in Kragujevac, Serbia; Accordion Festival in Palanga, Lithuania; Nomus Festival in Novi Sad, Serbia; The Second International Accordion Festival in Beijing; Música en Domingo and Concierto de Mediodía  for the Fundación Juan March, Madrid.
He participates as soloist with the Youth Chamber Orchestra of Vojvodina (Serbia) conducted by Director Caba Zima, and under the direction of Stefan Fraas with the Vogtland Philharmonie Greiz / Reichenbach (Germany).
His career and personal view of interpretation have led him to collaborate with composers such as Sofia Gubaidulina, Jesus Torres, Ramon Lazkano, Felix Ibarrondo, Fabià Santcovsky, Svetozar Sasa Kovacevic, Aitor Furundarena and Francisco José Ríos.
In his multiple performances he demonstrates his commitment to contemporary music, premiering works like Hungarian Fantasy for accordion solo and its version for accordion soloist and string orchestra by composer Svetozar Sasa Kovacevic; Desierto y Oasis for accordion and clarinet by composer Fabià Santcovsky; Jalkin2 for accordion quartet composed by Ramón Lazkano and Quarteto IIIB for accordion quartet, by Stefano Bonilauri.
The Fundación Paper de Música from Barcelona edits the live recording of Concert d'Hivern, and under the label of Musikene, the album Akordeoi Klasikoa with the Ensemble Geosinfonía and Iñaki Alberdi. He records with Trio Arbós, Cuentos de Andersen composed by Jesus Torres for RTVE (Spanish National Radio and Television) and with RTVE Symphony Orchestra he performs the recording of the work Izarbil for the monographic CD from the composer Felix Ibarrondo.

CHROMA is an acclaimed London-based chamber ensemble dedicated both to new music and to revisiting classic repertoire in fresh and exciting contexts; mentoring the next generation of composers, and involving audiences in compelling, inspirational experiences.

British-German composer Charlotte Bray is an esteemed and in-demand composer, exhibiting uninhibited ambition and desire to communicate. Her music is exhilarating, inherently vivid, and richly expressive with lyrical intensity. An Ivor Novello Award winner (2019), she uses her voice to spotlight global issues, including the refugee crisis, unification, terrorism, and humanity’s impact on nature. She is currently the Composer-in-Residence with L​’Orchestre de Chambre de Genève, which is a 3‑year position for the 2023/24 – 2025/26 seasons. 

Bray’s music has been performed and commissioned by institutions such as BBC Symphony and BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestras, Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Radio-Symphonieorchester Wien, Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, WDR Sinfonieorchester Köln, Hong Kong Sinfonietta, Aurora Orchestra, and Birmingham Contemporary Music Group. Her work has featured at festivals in Aldeburgh, Cheltenham, Tanglewood, Aix-en-Provence, Verbier and Kuhmo, as well as with renowned conductors including Marin Alsop, Sir Mark Elder, Sakari Oramo, Oliver Knussen, Jessica Cottis, Daniel Harding, Duncan Ward, and Karina Canellakis.

Described as “evocative” (Resonance) and “surreal” music “to bewilder, amuse, and provoke” (Epoch Times), the works of composer Sarah Genevieve Burghart Rice have won great acclaim and inspired intense debate. Burghart Rice received a 2009 ASCAP/Morton Gould Young Composer Award and took 1st Prize in the 2005 Salvatore Martirano Award. Her music has been championed internationally by ensembles such as the Cabrillo Festival Orchestra (Marin Alsop, director), the Cleveland Chamber Symphony, and Juventas.

Papageorgiou’s music has and always has had a certain predilection towards various forms of similarity and structural reiteration. In such a context, structural redundancy and parsimony stand at the epicenter of his work, as recurrences of patterns that share the same underlying structure unfold in time, elaborating centripetally on the same structural complex or similar structural features, again and again, creating, maintaining and exalting one or various states from a single or from a variety of perspectives.

Currently an associate professor of composition, he was appointed at the Department of Music Studies of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2007.

Pedram Diba is an Iranian-American composer whose work investigates how sound, space, light, and gesture function as interrelated compositional materials. He approaches these elements as dynamic agents within a unified expressive system, crafting works that unfold across multiple sensory dimensions. His music has been praised for its “powerful interaction and striking richness of components” (ResMusica, France) and for its “deep sense of musical energy and great attention to the organicity and morphological profiles of sound” (Pierre Jodlowski).

His works have been presented at international festivals including SEAMUS, IRCAM Forum, ICMC, Splice, SICMF, and New Music Gathering, and performed at venues such as the DiMenna Center (New York), Le CENTQUATRE (Paris), CKL Stage (Seoul), Constellation (Chicago), and Le Gesù (Montreal). Upcoming projects include a new work for TAK Ensemble and a multimedia work for Duo Riso, both scheduled for premiere in 2026.

He is the recipient of the Residency Prix CIME (International Confederation of Electroacoustic Music, 2025), the William T. Faricy Award for Outstanding Composition (Northwestern University, 2025), a Research-Creation Grant from the ACTOR Project (2021–2022), the Max Stern Fellowship in Music (McGill University, 2018–2020), First Place in the Ensemble Ibis Composition Competition (2017), and the Outstanding Scholar in Composition Award (University of Oregon, 2017).

Diba earned a B.M. in composition from the University of Oregon, an M.M. from McGill University (with Philippe Leroux), and completed the IRCAM Cursus in Paris (with Pierre Jodlowski and Claudia Scroccaro). He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in composition and music technology at Northwestern University (with Alex Mincek, Hans Thomalla, and Jay Alan Yim). His works are published by BabelScores.

Nathan James Dearden is an award-winning Welsh music creator, whose work has been described as “hauntingly beautiful” (Media Wales), and performed and featured by the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, London Philharmonic Orchestra, Tippett Quartet, National Youth Orchestra of Wales, tenor Nicky Spence, National Youth Choirs of Great Britain, Fidelio Trio, and Hebrides Ensemble. His music regularly features in concerts across the UK and overseas, including at the Cheltenham Music Festival, Dartington International Festival, CROSSROADS International New Music Festival and Vale of Glamorgan Festival. His music has been broadcast on BBC Radio 3, BBC Radio Wales, BBC Radio Cymru, Resonance FM, RTÉ lyric FM, S4C and Soho Radio, whilst also released on NMC Recordings and Delphian.

Nathan is also a sought-after conductor, arts advisor, event curator and educator, holding arts advisory roles with several international organisations, and is currently Lecturer in Music Composition at Royal Holloway University of London.

Chris Petrie is a composer and conductor who is carving an exhilarating compositional career. His music has been described as '...haunting, pulsing and primal...' by BBC Radio 3 presenter, Max Reinhardt, and 'very impressive' by Sir Peter Maxwell Davies.

Chris's performances have included some of Europe’s leading ensembles such as the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, London Sinfonietta, Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra and the Tonkuenstler Orchestra (Austria). As well as performances in eminent halls such as the Royal Albert Hall, Chris has also had his music broadcast on BBC Radio 3 and S4C TV, as well as two DVD releases and a CD through Signum Records. Chris also programmes the classical events at Monmouth Festival and holds the position of Associate Composer at Eltham College.

Forthcoming performances include the Craiova State Philharmonic Orchestra (Romania), Monmouth Festival Wind Dectet,  and the Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra of London, and second performances with the Tonkuenstler Orchestra and University College of London Chamber Orchestra.
