These songs are about the recovery of memory and acceptance of the whole self, working through past trauma, and love for self just as you are - even those cringe parts or memories you might have hated for forever. In this album I resurrect and remix songs I composed in my youth that have been buried for about 20 years, because growing up poor meant I never had proper equipment or software to make musical compositions really live in the digital verse.

And then later in life, maybe some of us (myself included) have to do the hard work of coming off of meds your family said were "necessary", or from multiple forced hospitalizations. Rediscovering these emotions are difficult; they are yours, your own, no one can take them from you, but maybe like me you get to deal with things like low emotional regulation/outbursts/anger/depression and sensory issues because you were never given the opportunity to grow your own goddamn brain-nerves and skills naturally, outside your medication. 

So often family of neurospicy ppl with less IQ or emotional intelligence will not understand you were just gifted, or had autism, or were highly sensitive, empathic, add, bipolar, etc; and needed extra support. So often the educational system fails people like us simply because they don't know better brains exist.

It's easy for other ppl to say "oh we all go through this" but man, youth is rough and all strength to you guys going through your teens, 20s. early 30s. 

But life really does get better, the brain eventually calms down and gets on your own team for the most part, your intrusive thoughts stop harassing you all day, and you find some peace. Just live your life for yourself. Find healthy ways to express your emotions like walking, art, music or sports. Don't live by anyone else's standards than your own. Support yourself through self-care and honest friends.

The album features a retro 90s soundtrack/ambient/chill vibe inspired by the music of my youth, such as Enya (yes I grew up with her music), my piano lessons, Loreena McKennit, and the random music I came up with on my silly 48-key tiny keyboard I had to keep on my bed because I didn't have a stand, or enough room, in my room, as a teenager.

Fitting words to accompany Rene Lorenzo’s forthcoming album on Kizen Records, titled ‘A Good Moment’. From start to finish, the Spaniard occupies a space that is hard to define. One that demands attention yet, gives space. Intricate, yet soothing and comforting on the ear. A wonderful combination that catches you in its embrace, ever so subtly.

Delirium Tremens, coming in as track 8 on the 10 track album evokes feelings of security, the exhale to a long inhale. The muted kicks, and melody provide a base from which to build. Nothing is overt, no element tries to stray from that base. Each and every voice meant to compliment, and coexist.
