Word on the street is that the dastardly duo Kleu and Deefa MC have both been up to no good again. Those cheeky little scallywags even had the cheek to sign some stinkin’ riddims to the Serial Killaz label and did they even ask permission from the Jungle Council? Course they bloody didn’t!

‘Scallywag’ hits hard like a double dose of whatever the local street corner dealer has been cooking up in his kitchen overnight. Full of naughty one liners from Deefa that reflects his deep yet dulcet tones to the max. It’s a moody affair so probably best to not forget your bally.. ‘7 Days Straight’ isn’t about pulling a full week's shift in the office, what you are getting here is ruffneck beats and bass to your ear plus some heavyweight vocal stabs thrown in for good measure.

‘Ronin’ chucks in some mashed up Amen breaks that have been filtered and twisted to the edge of their existence, once again complimented by Deefa firing shots left, right and center down the SM58. ‘Merlin’ takes more of an old fashioned Kleu kind of vibe, bordering on inducing epileptic fits across the dance floor and beyond.

Darkside business a run from start to finish. Hug the corners.

This Various Artist compilation is curated in support of British Columbia, Canada, which has been affected by Historic flooding across many of the southern parts of the province. This disaster has displaced thousands and has caused ongoing issues with infrastructure in many of its communities, with the risk of more damage on the way.

As creatives, the one thing we can do is use our passion to raise funds for those affected by this disaster. Once the idea was made to step up and curate an album, we were approached by Digital Motion BC who were already sitting on a 12 track LP, that they wished to donate to this project.

 In addition, many local artists have offered their music alongside some heavy-hitting international talents as well.
 This album shows how compassionate our scene is, and we are eternally grateful for all the love and support!

Since teaming up in 2010, Bristol-based drum ’n’ bass duo Chromatic – real names Leon Bailey and Joe Rossitter – have released music on seminal labels including Playaz, Innerground, V Recordings, Crucast, CIA, Commercial Suicide, Fokuz, Formation Records, Utopia Music and Lossless Music.

The pair’s refusal to conform to one specific style of DnB has resulted in dozens of plays on BBC Radio 1 and Kiss FM, plus DJ support from the scene’s most respected selectors including Roni Size, DJ Hype, DJ Marky, LTJ Bukem, Rene LaVice, Kanine, London Elektricity and more.

Chromatic have remixed artists including DJ Fresh, MC $pyda and E-Z Rollers. The pair’s track ‘Sunrise’, produced for Bru-C’s album ‘Original ‘Sounds’, has achieved over five million Spotify plays, while their unofficial remix of Pharoahe Monch’s ‘Simon Says’ continues to be a secret weapon for countless DJs.
