German based Boom Shankar is a Dj for Psychedelic Trance, the label manager of BMSS Records and an event promoter within Europe. Having been initiated into the Goa Trance scene in the early Nineties and by traveling the globe ever since, his sets are a mirror of the constant melting pot of fundamental Psytrance characteristics.
Whether he is guiding the dance floor through the night or into the morning, the outcome is always a voyage filled with a depth and an energy that allows the crowd to feel a sense of freedom through Trance. Groovy, deep, mature, hypnotic and clearly distinguishable.
Having played at many underground & major events worldwide, he has developed a full understanding of the flow and the energies of each dance floor and is flexible in terms of “styles”. Through his impromptu sets, he is able to interact personally with each dance floor, taking the audience on a trans-formative journey. His sets are a direct form of communication through music.

For Boom Shankar, this process of mutual giving and receiving between the DJ and the audience has led to meaningful feedback from festivals like S.U.N. and O.Z.O.R.A., Antaris, Fusion, VuuV, Glade, Summer never Ends, Hadra, Doof, Moksha, Transahara, Transylvania Calling, Timegate, Ometeotl, Universal Religion, Freqs of Nature, Trimurti, Neon and in clubs from New York to Bangkok, London, Tel Aviv and nearly every other corner of the world. Besides this, Boom Shankar is the label manager of BMSS Records where he has released 6 best-selling compilations so far: Transmissions, Transition, Cosmic Connections, the Trancendance triptych series and the Trancefsuion series featuring artists such as Aes Dana, Braincell, Tristan, Sonic Species & Avalon, Eat Static, Pogo, Lucas & Mechanimal, Egorythmia, Ovnimoon, Touch Tone, Audioform, Headroom & Zen Mechanics, Entheoegenic, Talpa, Martian Arts, Outsiders, ManMadeMan, Pleiadians, Zyce, Atmos, Cosmosis, Electrypnose, Imaginarium, Reversed Logic, Hujaboy, ShivaTree and many more. Synthetic Chaos & Shred'er - Too Much

Undertow is Alistair Johnston, a very intelligent fellow from Amsterdam.  He is a reputable commercial mixing engineer for television, but also a connoisseur of all things psychedelic.  I often stay with him when touring in Europe and he has become one of my greatest friends and gurus.  Despite the opposite computer platforms we write on, this was our 4th track together.  It was a lot of fun playing with various triplet parts and transitioning into a full blast finale.  The memorable twisted triplet riff was an epiphany that made its way directly from an altered state.  A lot happens in this exceptionally unique tune, with several different sections and ideas that took considerable time to weave all together.
