i wrote this for my songwriting partner during my chrome bones period, greg zauner. it was a reaction to his death, which was caused by opioids, and it took me 4 years to finish. it's not perfect, but he would have liked it. i'll continue to write songs and record them and post them, but this is the final chrome bones song.

sleepin' in

the ending isn't finished, but this will do for now. is there such a thing as a baroque rock fairy tale? if there is, this is one. and feminist, too.

more a rewrite than a cover, bringing events of the day and our cultural backslide to their inevitable conclusions. i think of it as a sequel to 'missionary'.
