Apologies for the less-than-perfect audio quality (mostly due to my file-format conversions). The set as a whole is also not as sleek and seamless as I would have liked, as I played ad-hoc a bit towards the end due to unforeseen scheduling-changes (the Schrott and Alchemy Circle tracks were off-the-cuff additions, neither quite smoothly slotted-in). But I still wanted to promote these stellar producers whose tracks I played, and wanted to give people a way to listen to the set "on the go".

A great thank-you to the Forestocrats for letting me as a guest-artist play at their party. I got to play the opening set of the evening, and I ended up conjuring up this eclectic mix of dark progressive and forest progressive sounds. Not the smoothest mix perhaps, but something to lift the spirits from early-evening swampscapes into more proper woodland sounds.

Not my technically most gallant set, with an outright botched swap from Oddrapod to The Greys near the beginning of the set, and a few other technical issues here and there. I was a bit out-of-focus during the early set, I guess. All the same, playing live comes with a certain degree of grit and uneven edges, and the rest of the set seemed to flow well enough. All in all, thanks to all the bright-eyed gnomes and elves who came out to party with us!

A return to the roots of the pulsing black ooze, that shimmering, self-replicating organic gel that crawls out of the wounded ground. The conveyant theme of the evening was dark, and even the darkness can be gyrational at times.

N.B. the "triple-threat" of Triforce at the end of the set was somewhat unintended; the first two I'd vaguely had in mind from the get-go, but the third track was a scrambling, last-moment panic-selection, as I realised while keying up 'Absorption' that I'd miscalculated the running-order's slightly delayed playtimes, at about 10 min off of what I'd been running with... Ah well, I guess it was a spontaneous celebration of Triforce's full-length release 'Arise' from last autumn.

Also, I've just not been playing enough Triforce for several recent gigs now, so this is kind of making up for stolen time. <3

Uploaded with glaring mistakes and all. Fucking christ, that change from Gahara to Ritalin Child was rough and honestly pretty anticlimactic. And also, once I'd gotten Farseer's Spirit Release going, I honestly botched it outright with the equipment, apparently having left Sync on from the earlier long-form track switches, so that when I dropped the fader and hit Cue on Storm Gate, Pioneer thought we were back at 110 BPM instead of the proper 165 BPM, so... yeah. Welcome to "Are you human?" behind-the-decks edition, sort of jig.

Honestly, though, I am fairly pleased with the overall progression I took. Even though I kept running everything at almost +3.85 % pitch for basically all of the set until we got really deep into the space-age forest, I feel I kinda held it together. I kicked off the evening at 22:00, and the set after me at 23:30 onwards was a b2b hi-tech madness by local WZF hi-tech mad scientists Aaazzzuuuh and Mad Shakaal (https://soundcloud.com/madshakaal/aaazzzuuuh-b2b-mad-shakaal-orbital-frequencies-ug-klubi), and I guess I gathered the orbital storm well enough to send off our brave psychonauts into the unreal reaches of hi-tech. <3

Chrysamorph |'krɪ sə mɔrf| (figuratively "shape-of-gold") represents change through loss, and learning to deal with that loss - the painful death-and-rebirth of becoming something less before becoming something more. Gold needs to be worked in order for it to reach its final shape, similar to a caterpillar disintegrating in its chrysalis before becoming what it was meant to be. No creation without destruction.
