My set from Origin of Trance at Pumpehuset on May 17th 2025. Beat Bizarre was the headliner of the night, so I played lots of oldschool Iboga sounds - mixed with older and newer stuff from around the world. Setting out at 134 bpm and rising to 145. Earliest track from 1997, newest from 2024. Mixing the old with the new is where the fun is at. Beat Bizarre meets Braincell meets Behind Blue Eyes meets British psytrance (like SuperModule, Dickster and early Avalon) plus some Electrypnose magic, a sprinkle of Grouch, some awesome Ace Ventura rollers + a few surprises (and then some Etnica and X-Dream for the ultra nostalgia crew).

Chrysamorph |'krɪ sə mɔrf| (figuratively "shape-of-gold") represents change through loss, and learning to deal with that loss - the painful death-and-rebirth of becoming something less before becoming something more. Gold needs to be worked in order for it to reach its final shape, similar to a caterpillar disintegrating in its chrysalis before becoming what it was meant to be. No creation without destruction. Kill your darlings. Learn to live with your mistakes, and embrace those mistakes. You will never escape them, and trying to ignore them only makes them more massive. There will come a time when death is the only new adventure you'll ever have waiting for you. Get used to the darkness before then, won't you?

Expect robust, coffee-like dark progressive psytrance in almost all of its varieties (from lazy swamp through jazzy zenonesque to cold dark prog, and beyond), frequent lapses into warbling forest prog, and on occasion even some haunted dark forest to herald the great vastness of the interstellar gulf.
