Flat Waters is an Electronic Duo consisting of Lianne Turner (Previously of Atlas Twins and currently performing solo as Tabula Tabula) and Ted Brunning (Of Mod Exist and Hyper Acid).

They were drawn together by a love of each others music and became close friends in Chester frequently going to open mic nights and performing at them in venues such as Alexander's, Telford's Warehouse and The Lock Keeper.

Their music uses Lianne's vocals and excellent lyrical composition, which is influenced by Cat Power, Feist, Florence and Karen O, and fuses it with Low Tempo electronic music influenced by Jazz Music, African Music, The Chicago House scene, Psychedelic Music and Folk Music. They combine Analogue and Digital, using equipment such as Cassette Tape, Digital-Analogue Synthesisers, DSP Processing, and real instruments to create their unique sound.

They share a love of fantastic lyrical craftsmanship, being inspired by Connor Oberst and Tim Kinsella of the bands Bright Eyes and Cap'n Jazz. 

Lianne currently resides in Chester, and Ted in London, so making music can be difficult sometimes, but expect to hear more this summer.

David Burraston is an award-winning artist/scientist working in the areas of technology and electronic music since the late 1970s. His experimental arts practice encompasses field recording, landscape-scale sound art, chaos/complexity, sound synthesis and electronic music. He performs, lectures, conducts workshops and creates art installations in Regional NSW and around the world. David also designs and builds sound synthesizers based on his theories of chaos/complexity. In 2014 he independently published the legendary SYROBONKERS! the most technical and in-depth interview ever given by Aphex Twin.

Mimitabu provides a platform for the newest young creative talent to explore, interpret and perform new sound worlds. Close collaboration and experimentation with composers is at the heart of the ensemble, as is the aim of connecting with new audiences and seizing all opportunities to expand the boundaries of listening. 

Ever since its formation Ensemble Musikfabrik has had the reputation of being one of the leading ensembles for contemporary music. Following the literal meaning of its name, Ensemble Musikfabrik is particularly dedicated to artistic innovation. New, unknown, and often personally commissioned works in an unusual media are typical of their productions. The results of their extensive work, usually taking place in close collaboration with the composers, are presented by the Cologne-based international soloist ensemble in about 80 concerts a year in both Germany and abroad, at Festivals, in their own series “Musikfabrik in WDR” and in regular radio recordings and CD productions.
