The Alkaline EP associates the works of AES Dana (Vincent Villuis) and MIKTEK (Mihalis Aikaterinis), the second chapter in a series of three. 
Skilful blend of granular soils, earthy glitches, oxydised rhythms & basslines flowing into diaphanous & breathing pads. 
These 3 new chapters explore the Minimal Ambient & Liquid Drum'n'Bass structures to in fine propose a cinematic and out of time chronicle, switching from quiet territories to ultra-modern violence.

Based in Bristol, LTO first made waves as part of mysterious electronic collective Old Apparatus. As a solo producer, LTO has since attracted attention with his praised debut LP "The Number From Which All Things Come" and subsequent ambient/modern classical-focussed "Storybook“ LP. With "Déjà Rêvé“, he expands on that classical sensibility, creating a highly expressive and nuanced release for Denovali Records.

Each of the tracks on this record express a certain abstracted sense of time and place, often of a long forgotten memory or dream, or of an imagined future; of places foreign, yet strangely familiar; of varying states of consciousness; of non-linear time systems; of repetitive childhood fever dreams; of places with different laws of physics removing the constraints of day-to-day reality that you never want to leave; of unimaginable landscapes.

Broadening the already far-reaching colour palette of "Storybook", LTO has created something truly remarkable: complex piano arrangements, ethereal soundscapes, elegant orchestration and floating ambience, all perfectly placed in a rich cinematic landscape. LTO creates an ingenious dramaturgy, inducing different moods, from dark to light, with an inimitable depth and irresistible suction.

A powerful, shorter dance around the medicine wheel, honouring the directions and gaining wisdom and balance from embodying the elementals, we start briefly with ether, then we progress to some earth trance shaking for release & invigoration before starting with fire in the south, and moving in the direction of the sun in the southern hemisphere journeying east to air; north to earth; west to water; and lastly within and all around back to ether - the mystical plasma that integrates all elements yet cannot be sensed with the senses, yet without it light & sound waves could not travel through space.  This is for all the dancers in lockdown needing a dance of balance, centredness and ultimately, peace and calm. Chuck is a Los Angeles-based composer whose recent work spans both film and concert music. His scoring credits include the Samantha Bee: Your Favorite Woman special and films for Calvin Klein and a sound installation for the ELLE Next couture show at Lincoln Center. He has also worked on various documentaries, web series, and television projects. In addition to his film work, Chuck has composed concert pieces such as "Symphony 1" and "String Quartet 1," available on iTunes and Amazon.
