The calm pre-dawn with its promise of the new day to come is broken by the sun piercing the horizon.  Light streaks across the sky, kissing all it touches with gold.  Mundane objects are transformed into works of art by the beauty of this first light. Then the majesty and power of the suns slow warming ascent. 

...and yes I went there, I used tubular bells!

This is a tough one for me.  In memory of my daughter, Deborah, oh how we miss her!  I included this song in a video clip for her 31st birthday on Jul 23.

Something about Autumn-the crisp cooling weather-skies seems clearer--shedding leaves just before the cold winter--the crops have all been harvested-- for me, it seems a little  slower and more  peaceful--natural process of nature and life--my mind feel more at ease--my body feels more relax--my favorite time of year

A lot of challenges throughout your life and growing old.  A lot of good thing to look forward to, don't forget that!!

No Good Growing Old?

Written way back by Claude Putman Jr and made popular by Bobby Bare and Porter Wagoner in 1965 .  Some many artist have recorded it, including Elvis Presley and Tom Jones.  An old country standard that I really like and decided to do a few verses.

Green Grass Of Home

One of the greats by Bob Dylan in 1962.   This song has been covered by Elvis, Eric Clapton, Waylon , Willie and Merle, John Mayer, Ed Sheenan ,Peter Paul and Mary,  and the list goes on.   Wow- this song has been with me a long time.  I can't do it justice but this is a simple version that I enjoy playing.

Don't Think Twice

Known as Mr Smooth, Jerry Wallace was nominated for male vocalist and song of the year in 1972 for How Times Flies.  Other songs include Shutters and Boards, Primrose Lane,Do You Know What It's Like to Be Lonely.  He was a Navy veteran and died in 2008. I had an old album I used to play all the time.  This was from that album . I changed the tempo somewhat.  I always loved the lyrics.

Ray Of Light

Retired musician .  Just writing a few simple songs about
