Going to Michael Calfan’s website the audience can sign up itself and their loved ones, giving them the chance to win special goodie packages from Michael Calfan and Spinnin’ Records. Being able to literally share your love with a treasured soul, the track has grown a life beyond the music, touching hearts all over the world.

In the wake of this moment Michael Calfan also decided to donate all proceedings from Treasured Soul to a good cause. With ebola threatening so many lives at the moment, the French producer agreed with Spinnin’ Records to make the fight against this disease the key priority surrounding the release of Treasured Soul.

And so, here it is. A highly anticipated track, one of the most striking dance records of 2014, spreading the love on multiple levels. How about that for a holiday spirit?  Michael Calfan makes sure it’s all good this year.

A standout track in the Frenchmen’s captivating live sets over the past 12 months, ‘Chain Reaction’ finally drops after highlighting performances everywhere from Paradise at DC10 to Oasis Festival in Marrakesh. 

Led by an infectious hook-laden bassline crafted with the artists’ beloved MOOG Voyager, the track has been an evolving work in progress over months of tireless gigs and studio sessions, as layers of deep pads and effects have progressively been added to create this plump, rumbling beauty. 

The key to Rodriguez Jr.’s production is the ying and yang contrasts to his sonic aesthetic; on one hand they’re fiercely functional and deadly effective on the dancefloor, while on the other, their natural hook-driven characteristics mean they’re remembered long after the first play. 

‘Two Miles Away’ epitomizes this approach; a dizzyingly beautiful melodic gem that feels at once like it was custom-made to soundtrack a morning set, while its subtle toe-curling key change makes it a distinctive addition to his back catalogue. 

Of the track, Rodriguez Jr. says: “It was written and recorded in one night. I was just jamming on the Moog synthesizer and trying to do something with a solid drive, without losing a strong emotional side. It’s been inspiring to record in this spontaneous way, without thinking about the final result and just record in the moment.”

Mella Dee lands on Waze & Odyssey’s Street Tracks imprint with ‘Franco’ on the ‘Autumn Sampler’ EP. We’ve got the exclusive premiere of the track above.

Mella Dee, real name Ryan Aitchison, has been on fine form this year, turning in an impeccable Feel My Bicep Podcast as well as remixing the Belfast duo’s ‘Satisfy’. It’s a rework that has been huge all summer, and a regular in the sets of Maceo Plex, Laurent Garnier, Skream and many more.

On ‘Franco’, Aitchison builds a techno roller on string-like-synths and his inimitable trademark kicks. Speaking about the release, he said, “Franco is a techno/house stomper loaded with a reese bassline.”

Saved’s latest offering is a two tracker from El Row resident Marc Maya.
The talented Spaniard is famed for his dynamic DJ sets and delivers the goods with his debut on the imprint. “Teka” is a funky track from the very start with a cool, rolling edge and has been a real stand out track for label boss Nic Fanciulli’s sets over the summer months. Completing the release is “She Is Back” which locks the listener into the groove with its sustained bass lines, shuffling percussion and atmospheric vocal cuts.

Sincopat is a label set up in 2010 by Spanish producer AFFKT and his friend Alberto Sola. Known for its melodic sound, the label has an open minded approach to House and Techno music. Making his second appearance on the label is British artist Ten Ven who regular Data Transmission readers will know we are big fans of, he boasts previous releases on labels including 303Lovers, Eton Messy Records, Noir Music and Armada.

A secretive artist, little is known about Ten Ven who likes to let his music do the talking, but with guest mixes for people like Shadow Child on Rinse FM and a sound that fuses melody with soul sometimes music speaks louder than words.

We premiere “Think About It” on the Debut Transmission today and it starts with muffled synth stabs that are played with a raw energy to provide the foundation of the track. Taking its title from the commanding vocal sample, its rolling groove is completely infectious. Melodic elements are slowly introduced and it’s not long before a euphoric crescendo of the main breakdown ensues, but any arms in the air moments do not last long, as the kick drum soon crashes back in with devastating force.

Intec is known to many a fan of House and Techno as a scene leading label set up by the iconic Carl Cox who has been at the forefront of DJ culture since the early 90s.

With a roster of artists including the label boss himself plus Nicole Moudaber, Jon Rundell, Marco Bailey, Carlo Lio, Cristian Varela and Dosem amongst many others of a similar calibre.

This new release is from Intec regulars Drumcomplex & Roel Salemink who with this release makes their fifth appearance on the label as well as featuring their debut collaboration album in 2014.

Having also released music on Bush Records, Bulletdodge and Marco Baileys label MB Elektronics, the pair are no strangers to the world's Techno scene, and this release showcases their impressive sound in all its glory.

German born Arnd Reichow aka Drumcomplex and Dutch native Roel Salemink are both respected solo artists in their own right, but when the pair come together their complimenting styles have produced some of their most compelling work.

The first track Ampex is packed with tension thats brought to life by the underlying menace of its melody. Tom drums bubble up in a fast flowing rhythm which is soon complimented by a hard hitting clap to provide some added aggression. Taking no prisoners, this is dark and dancefloor focused Techno at its most exhilarating.

Second is Eighties which starts with looped chords that build with suspense as the track develops. When the main breakdown hits, so does the roar of the bass synth, which then tears through the track with devastating force. Peak time and perfect, this track is packed with a raw energy and cryptic sense of excitement.

Defining summer 2016 with a huge club weapon, Santé drops ‘Bring Back’ ahead of announcing the release of his second artist album ‘House Lessons’ via his own Berlin based imprint AVOTRE.

Opening with our Debut Transmission and his signature jacking sound, Santé wastes no time setting the pace on the release’s title track ‘Bring Back’. The funky vocal sample then marks the first of many huge drops and adds an element of soul to an already huge club record, while the clapping beat dances effortlessly over the huge rolling bass lines. ‘Bring Back’ cleverly finds the perfect blend of deeply underground aesthetics while keeping the vibe rooted firmly on the dance floor.

The release is rounded off with an equally as massive remix from Leeds native and regular AVOTRE alumni Dale Howard, who masterfully reworks the original to bring his unique sound to the record, while staying true to the original.
