Mit grossem Erfolg werden seit 2005 an der Universität Helsinki in Zürich und der Universität Bohannon in Berlin / DE neuartige Vorlesungen angeboten. Zum Start ins neue Studiensemester offeriert nun auch die musikhistorische Fakultät der Coupole University Biel-Bienne den neuen Lehrgang “Raphistory“.
Anhand von zeitgenössischen Tonbeispielen ab Schallplatte werden fachkundige Dozenten aus dem In- und Ausland im Lehrgang “Raphistory“ Monat für Monat in chronologischer Reihenfolge ein Jahr der über drei Jahrzehnte alten Rapgeschichte abhandeln.
Parallel zu den Tonbeispielen stellt das Rektorat der Coupole University monatlich umfangreiches Studienmaterial (Fanzines, Plakate, Jahrgangs-Mixes, etc.) zusammen, welches grossteils gegen eine bescheidene Studiengebühr direkt an der jeweiligen Vorlesung erstanden werden kann.

The Captain is an Italian producer & DJ widely known in the Funky Breaks and Ghetto Funk scene who takes his fans on a musical journey by turning all-time classics hits into contemporary dancefloor dynamite.  Many of his productions have been praised and supported by Krafty Kuts, Daddy G (Massive Attack), Freddy Fresh, Ursula 1000, Fort Knox Five, Skeewiff, Featurecast, Stickybuds, Slynk and Smoove, to name a few.  

The Captain has created a unique signature sound taking inspiration from the golden decades of classic rhythm and blues, soul, latin, hip-hop, and rock-n-roll and mixing it with modern dance music and beats.  The distinct and diverse groove he creates in his productions attracts fans from different musical genres and styles.  

His highly praised output of vinyl and digital releases on labels such as Resense, Goodgroove, ESL, BBP, and Ghetto Funk have been consistently topping the Juno Charts the last several years.  This fast growing success and well earned reputation led him to remix great artists such as Ursula 1000 and musical icon Fred Schneider from the legendary rock band, the B-52s.

The Captain’s following has widen through extensive exposure through national and international radio airplay and interviews (BBC, WDR, RAI, Triple J) and television appearances.    
Among his upcoming projects is a remix collaboration with Dub Pistols & Alabama 3.

With over 20 years of experience, Not Lazy has kept dance floors moving in Canada’s West Coast electronic music scene for some time now. 
Known for his infectious energy and dynamic performances, Not Lazy has graced the stages of the Shambhala Music Festival and Bitf Festival, Fortstival, and several other private events leaving a lasting impression on every crowd.

Specializing in a wide array of genres, including house, breaks, UK garage, and drum and bass, he seamlessly blends tracks with fun, familiar samples that keep the dance floor buzzing. His sets are a journey through sound, filled with unexpected twists and turns that showcase his deep knowledge and passion for music.
