Berlin doom pop — swelling synth sounds, dramatic rhythms and wavy guitar washes.

Fronted by two Swedish cousins, HEKLA is a quartet stemming from Berlin’s musical melting pot. Inspired by everything from Scandinavian folk music to 80s synthwave adventures, they bring you along for a ride into the abandoned beach towns and forgotten volcanoes of their minds. 

In both music and lyrics, grandiose dreams face their constant companion, destruction. Never shying away from the drama, HEKLA sing about the obsession and madness in us all.

Self-titled debut album released in 2017. The new EP Boulevards is out in June 2018.
