CIA Deepkut returns with a new EP, from a name new to Drum and Bass, Adred. 
Four tracks filled with textures, rhythms and feelings, Adred has alongside co-writers Robert Manos, TRAC and Lystone, put together a body of work that shows a versatility and understanding of what makes for music with longevity and character. 
The title track is an organic beat featuring well-known and respected vocalist Robert Manos. Utilising parts of the vocal takes that others would have discarded, live drums and a free flowing arrangement, ‘300 Pages’ weaves through the Brooklyn streets, taking you with it. 
‘Into The Storm’ features Lystone, the track showcasing a strong link between producer and vocalist. A straighter more robotic beat, held together with thinned out vocals, amen edits and analogue pads, makes for an altogether deep meditative track.
‘Drones’ steps out tough yet deep, with an eerie vocal from rapper TRAC telling us what we all know to be the truth. Atmospheres wrap it all together, with a powerful pulsing mid bassline pulling the listener in every direction. 
Rounding up proceedings is ‘Red Night’. The excellent vocals tie together the pairs US hip-hop influences, along with a classic break, sonar style atmospheres and hypnotic keys. Drawing you deeper, Lystone’s lyrical flow and prowess really shines on this track, with the backing track dragging you in. 
An EP of various flavours and feelings, it’s a great start to Adred’s discography and one that CIA is proud to present.

T.R.A.C. steps forward to take centre stage with this first single from his forthcoming album 'Life In Motion'. Having appeared on numerous D&B tracks over the past few years on labels like V Recordings, Shogun, Jazzsticks and more as a featured artist T.R.A.C. is no stranger to the studio, and his lyrical finesse shines through on this funk filled roller. Linking up with the heavenly Adrienne Richards on vocals, and US liquid legend Random Movement on production 'Step Tune' delivers on all fronts, and sets the bar high for the album to follow later this year.

About T.R.A.C.When it comes to Hip Hop, New York is home to many great MC's and artists of all genres. Anyone who has ever visited the borough of Brooklyn will have seen its wide mix of cultures, ethnicities, and renowned musicians living within some of the most historic neighbourhoods in the world. Growing up within this melting pot has inspired the MC known as T.R.A.C. - his name alone clearly states what his intent is all about... To Rule And Conquer.

So what's this New York based Hip Hop MC doing on V? Well, as well as his first love of Hip Hop, T.R.A.C. is a long-time lover of breakbeats at 174bpm - perhaps taking his inspiration from Marc Mac, legend of 4 Hero and Reinforced fame who produced his debut album on BBE Records.

Over the past 10 years T.R.A.C. has built up a loyal following performing at D&B events all over the North America, Canada and Europe, and it was on one such occasion that he caught the attention of V Recordings head honcho Bryan Gee. Perseverance is an often use word to describe a person overcoming their struggles. A battle conquered a day. In today’s music world - while all the glitz and glamour can be rewarding for some dedicated striving artists, too many don’t maintain longevity and are quickly forgotten. Yet in the middle of it all are those few who stay patient, true to themselves, and focused on their respective musical pursuits. Brooklyn’s own NYC underground artist, T.R.A.C., has climbed to new heights throughout his years of experience in both Hip Hop and Drum and Bass. A masterful wordsmith, his talents are proven in his work with legendary producers such as Marc Mac (4hero) and Lewis Parker(UK). As an MC, he’s rocked stages with names like LTJ Bukem, Roni Size, and Goldie  to name a few from the lengthy (and growing) list of A class DJs. Recognized internationally throughout his career in the Drum and Bass scene as a premiere stateside born MC with the roots of a talented Hip Hop artist.
Featured on a slew of Lewis Parker projects, T.R.A.C. released his BBE debut Hip Hop effort, “The Network”, in 2011. The album was produced by legendary 4hero artist Marc Mac, and received underground critical acclaim, along with 6 star rating from OE magazine. T.R.A.C.’s sound is described as bluesy, soulful, easy listening, yet still Hip Hop.
Already respected in the world of Drum and Bass, T.R.A.C. has recently garnered even more attention via a plethora of well-received releases with respected labels. His work with Shogun LTD. Jazzsticks (Paul SG), Intrigue Music (Ben Soundscape), and V recordings are notable within the genre. Tunes like “The Partys Arrived” (Dave Owens), and the now classic “Higher Ground”(Submorphics), have elevated the artist to a higher platform and created much anticipation for his debut DnB album with V boss Bryan Gee. After recent release of “the V singles” compilation, an energetic buzz is rising and T.R.A.C.’s time has come to shine. 2017 is shaping up to be an amazing run for this talent.
