New music, new energy - Critical is proud to unleash the latest edition of cutting-edge sonics from its ever-evolving roster of talent.

Featuring 21 tracks that encompass the full Critical sound, ‘New Energy Vol 2’ combines fresh music from core label acts with productions from the imprint’s latest wave of recent contributors and fledgling artists.

Emperor’s ‘Jealousy’, ‘Close To You’ from label boss Kasra, YANO’s ‘Drained’ and Particle’s link-up with MC Verbz on ‘Stay The Night’ bring the late-night soul amongst a collection of tracks conceived for and born from the darkest corners of the dance floor.

There are tough, no nonsense and expertly crafted rhythms from well established names Enei, Calyx, T>I and Samurai Breaks (who debut on Critical with the manically experimental ‘Lemon Poppers’).

As always with Critical, though, the focus here is firmly on the future, with the bulk of tracks coming from the many newer names who have debuted on the label and its talent-shaping offshoot Binary over the last couple of years.

Unashamedly heavy, deliciously brutal rhythms come from the likes of SMG, VISLA, ABLE and QZB, alongside stepping grooves from En:Vy & Molecular with ‘Black Opal’ and Waeys & Azumai’s ‘Doggy Marriage’, plus template troubling, experimental crushers from Spectral on ‘TurboWave’ and Napes’ grime inspired ‘Balaclava’.

Reaching right across the sonic spectrum - ‘New Energy Vol 2’ is a panoramic perspective of electronic music’s most forward-thinking genre.

The Myth, the legend. The Big Dog that is Myth is back for the final instalment of his Tough Love series with a most excellent Part 3. 

This fantabulous package is made up of two brand new solo tracks from the aforementioned Myth and Legend, and also a finger burning like you just stupidly put them on a still hot hob collab, with the also pretty damn hot new Manny-man-man-man of the moment, Kublai. Consequently we ask you, we ask you this, pretty pertinent question - what’s not to like about this rather delightful package? 

Sadly Myth didn’t want to be on the front of this said delightful package regaled in his most favourite codpiece, from his exceptionally large wardrobe of elaborate and bejewelled codpieces. We did ask him if he would, tried mightily to persuade him, but he said he’d like to save that for the next project. Because even though he’s obviously quite a big dawg these days, he felt he needs to be a even bigger dawg before he shows the world his most excellent codpiece collection. 

We guess it’s fair enough, but we were sad. So we’ll just have to immerse ourselves in yet more excellent music from the Cheddar man Myth. And here it is, as usual, on CIA.

The precocious talent that is Ed:It is back on CIA, with four new slappers for ya lugholes. We’re always happy to have young Ed on the label, and it was about time for his next outing with us—but he’s really outdone himself this time with his brand new ‘Engines EP’. 

Since ‘The Keep EP’ in 2023, it’s been impossible to keep Ed:It down, as he’s hit relentlessly with a slew of heaters on a who’s who of top labels. He still stays true to the sound and vibe he’s always had, but the levelling up on the studio skills is always immediately evident in his recent work. 

With nods to Jungle, Tech Step, Rollers—and basically just absolute club weapons, this EP is going to go straight into the record box of a whole host of DJs. So please welcome Ed:It back to the CIA fold once again—this guy knows how to bring the heat!

The latest instalment in Sustance's growing collection of EPs, Shogun Audio is excited to present the producer's latest body of work. Carrying on his ever-impressive streak of writing productions perfect for an array of dance music's most exciting vocal talents, 'Out The Storm' with Salo and 'Cycles', featuring IYAMAH's distinct toplines, see Sustance take his crisp, rolling, and sub-heavy sounds to new heights. On the heavier side of the project, 'That's Right', a collaboration with future star Para, and 'DMF', Sustance goes all in on the minimal, murky, hard-hitting side of the genre. 

From his 'Error Mod' EP on Shogun's sister label SGN:LTD back in 2019 to this latest 'Cycles' EP six years later, Sustance has firmly established himself as one of drum and bass' slickest producers and one who sounds right at home on Shogun Audio.
