No stranger to the electronic music scene, signing his first release at 18 years old to "Acute Recordings, USA" in 2006 and subsequently winning a remix contest which was hosted by "Bellarine Recordings, AU" in 2007. Influenced by the likes of Sasha, Hernan Cattaneo, John Digweed, Satoshi Tomiee, Martin Garcia, Seb Fontaine to name a few. His style is characterised by a warm, driven, deep and atmospheric sound.

Andy Ef, an electronic music DJ and producer, born in 1987 in Cairo, Egypt. Played the piano at a young age, always been inspired by music, it was around the year 2000 when he discovered electronic dance music and from there a strong passion helped develop his own musical identity in years to come.

A regular on the Sydney scene, with appearences at Return To Rio, Blueprint, S*A*S*H, Electric Gardens, Bootz 'N' Catz, Subsonic Music, We Love, Night Groove and more he's a Sydney favourite for his dreamy progressive driving track choices and skill at creating a seamless journey through his sets.

He has managed to share the decks with some of the world's best DJs including Sasha, Hernan Cattaneo, Lee Buuridge, Eelkie Kleijn, Super Flu to name a few

Tristan Case’s creative flame is burning bright in Sydney, Australia. The renowned, long-time Return To Rio resident DJ is unveiling a series of stunning solo musical creations to take his career to the next level. His first solo release was an epic 5-track EP titled ‘Chapter One’, which Tristan released under Behrouz and Megan Nazari’s dream-weaving Do Not Sit On The Furniture label, hitting number one on the overall Beatport release chart in November 2020. He is currently putting the finishing touches to a selection of soon to be announced projects for some of the scene’s other finest innovative labels, including ONEDOTSIXTWO, Sound Avenue and more.

Tristan creates deeply dreamy yet reassuringly tough, beautifully balanced, melodic, house music, with a distinctly progressive attitude. Live instrumentation, uplifting percussion, heavy basslines, complex melodies, big strings and soaring harmonies, often utilising a haunting vocal element, all combine to build very emotive storylines within his tracks – incredible music that paints vivid pictures in the mind.

Having gained his musical spurs launching Ampi:Fly at the renowned Mint Club in Leeds, a legendary hub of the northern clubbing scene in the UK, Tristan emigrated to Australia in 2007 and steadily established himself as a key figure within the antipodean scene, playing alongside the world’s finest at some of the best festivals and parties.
He regularly captivates audiences at the likes of Lost Paradise, Electric Gardens, Circoloco, Cafe Del Mar Sydney, and many more, with his blissful DJ sets.

Romanian native BOg resides in Paris, where he is known for layering electronic beats to atmospheric, optimistic rhythms. His ability to weave together twinkling tapestries of scattered beats almost feels futuristic. The big break for the Romanian came in 2014 after he met John Digweed through the annual DJ competition, Burn Residency, all leading to BOg being signed to Bedrock Records. As one can expect, hanging out with a legend like Digweed has led to BOg progressing his skills swiftly, and word about the producer's forward-thinking productions are starting to get new fans by the day. And after his recent Innervisions-released collaboration alongside Tim Engelhardt, 'No More Words', you can expect his profile to flourish even more.

The 46th edition of Balance Selections is a soulful journey across eleven tracks featuring artists like Doctor Dru, Andhim and André Hommen alongside a number of unreleased BOg tracks.  With plenty of highs, BOg has shown with this mix that he is a talent to keep tabs on...

3 QUESTIONS to CID INC:

Q: Talking about your mix: How did you meet the bass, Mister Hurtig?

A: The most influential time that shaped my sound was between end of 1980s until some where beginning of 2000's. There were so many producers, tracks and genres that had a huge impact on me at that time, I simply couldn't fit everything in the mix. I've chosen tracks that either touched me emotionally or where I got the WOW and goosebumps feeling when I heard them for the first time.
 
Q: As you´re living in a smaller city close to Helsinki in Finland. How do you manage your travels every weekend?

A: It's actually quite convenient. I live in Pirkkala now, we have a small airport just around 7 km from home. Sometimes I take a really short flight or a 1,5h train trip to Helsinki airport where from I continue the journey.

Q: Which Cid Inc projects are coming soon?

A: I've finished quite a lot of new originals the past months, so expecting to release them this year on my own Replug label and a few others obviously. This year Replug label nights will propably see the daylight as well.
