What better way to kick off the label's 10th year as an imprint than have the two troublemakers behind it all, Tik&Borrow, release their first EP in 18 months on the label.

This one sees the duo harnessing a techy sound palette in their production, from the interwoven drums of lead track 'Sable' to the subtle key progressions in the outro of title track 'Revolution', the pair have clearly been enjoying the process of bringing other musical elements into these tracks without sacrificing what makes them, well them. This is on show the most with the third original track 'Avril', which sees the duo step far outside of their usual sound, utilising sparse soundscapes and techno rhythms alongside 808 thumps and breakbeats, to create something truly unique but in keeping with the vibe throughout the EP.

On remix duty they are delighted to welcome our brothers Saraphim to the label to give their twist on lead track 'Sable', and boy, are you in for a treat. They take the original and add a bit of spice as only they can, turning it into a wubby roller that is the perfect closer for our first EP of the year.

Fresh Produce 96 - Last Minute

Were very excited to be bringing you something extra special for the 10th edition of our free download series. A collaboration between a brand new very young producer named /PUD and stepdad, Dirtsqrl.
/PUD is a mysterious up and coming producer from the west coast of Vancouver Island. She says she likes spooky music, and is currently in grade 2.

Dirtsqrl is a Vancouver Island based producer & DJ that leans towards deep, moody sounds, with a focus on Halftime, DNB, 140, and other bass heavy music. His productions tend to be progressive and emotive, often exploring the liminal space between light and darkness.

Succeeding his single with /Pud, Dirtsqrl brings us this 4 track EP features 3 solo tracks and a collaboration with label head Kilbourne. The EP works its ways through deep dark basslines, hopeful melodies, and the feeling of being in a dystopian future. We finish the EP off with a Bandcamp exclusive bonus track to the EP "Reverie".  This track features a quote from Alan Watts `` The Dream Of Life '' and flexes a combination of both Dirtsqrl and Kilbourne Flavours.
