As a dark psytrance producer and multifaceted sound explorer, I embody the fusion of raw emotions and psychedelic synthetic universes.
 With live sets designed for festivals, outdoor parties, and underground clubs, I craft my tracks as a call to collective trance... which I absolutely love to see on the dance floor!

A powerful combination of kickbass, tribal drums, atmospheric and dark layers, harmonious synthesis and cymatic frequencies, psychedelic frequencies to transport the mind and body to darkpsy, kundalini vibes, and more. Sissy Danou, also known as Sishiva, is a Greek psychedelic trance producer, one of the few women in this genre, especially in the realm of forest dark psytrance. Born in Athens, she has a deep-rooted passion for music, which began in her childhood with guitar and flute lessons. Her remarkable ability, known as perfect pitch, allows her to recognize musical notes effortlessly, a rare skill that has been invaluable in her journey as a psytrance artist.

Sishiva’s career took a decisive turn when she delved into electronic music at the age of 14. In 2009, she returned to Athens to study audio engineering at S.A.E. (School of Audio Engineering), where she further honed her technical skills and creativity. Inspired by these experiences, she now operates under two major music projects:

1. Sishiva Project: This project focuses on forest dark psytrance, known for its imaginative, playful, and organic sound design. Sishiva's work in this area is characterized by a deep connection to nature-inspired soundscapes, combined with complex, psychedelic textures that push the boundaries of the genre.

2. Diansis: Her other project, Diansis, explores fast-paced Hi-tech Electronic Dance Music with experimental psychedelic elements. Here, she incorporates influences from modern classical orchestrations, blending them with advanced virtual and analog modular synthesizers. This fusion results in a unique sound that’s both technical and artistic, pushing the psytrance envelope into futuristic territories.

Sishiva’s music stands out for its meticulous attention to detail, intricate sound design, and the ability to create immersive, dynamic environments through her innovative approach to psytrance production. She’s become a respected figure in the psytrance community, particularly for her contributions to the darker, more experimental side of the genre.

O projeto é o primeiro live de psytrance do Estado do Amazonas, criado em 2006, por Carlos Mota (Dj Carlos Nose), em Manaus, Amazonas, tendo se apresentado em muitos festivais e eventos psicodélicos no norte e nordeste do Brasil como Trance na Floresta 1, Amazontribe Festival, Sun Dreams, Carnatrance, Psychologic, Festival Fora do Tempo, Gaia Trance e muitos outros. Cursou produção musical em Cubase na escola Groovearte (SP, 2005), e em Abbleton no Studio Vektor (AM, 2010).  Como DJ, já se apresentou também no Universo Paralello (Bahia, 2004-2005) e em Belém do Pará. Dark River participou e compilou álbuns de darkpsy como v.a. Perfect Nightmare, v.a. Time Stretchers, v.a. Odissey, v.a. Tales of the Spektral Wizard, v.a. Anunnaki Frequencies, etc. e também lançou 2 álbuns completos e 2 split-albuns (com artista Psychoz) com tracks originais: Metal Forest (2011), Book of Shadows (2013), The Outsiders (2014) e Airborne (2018). Masterizou algumas v.a.´s e o álbum solo do artista Psychoz, intitulado Smaragdwald. Dark River está preparando um novo álbum solo a ser lançado em 2018. A linha de som é o psychedelic trance com influências diversas, desde o melódico até o mais dark e rápido. BPM varia de 142 a 149.

The project was initiated in 2006, created by Carlos Mota aka Nose, the first psytrance live in Manaus, Amazonas, Brazil, having performed in many psychedelic festivals and events in the northern and northeastern Brazil, like Trance na Floresta 1, Amazontribe Festival, Sun Dreams, Carnatrance, Psychologic, Festival Fora do Tempo, Gaia Trance, Marupiara, Jacundá and etc. Studied musical production with Cubase in the school Groovearte (Sao Paulo, 2005) and Abbleton Live in Vektor Studio (Amazonas, 2010). As a Dj, performed in Universo Paralello (Bahia, 2004-2005) and in Belém do Pará. Dark River has also released music in many darkpsy compilations like v.a. Perfect Nightmare, v.a. Time Stretchers, v.a. Odissey, v.a. Tales of the Spektral Wizard, v.a. Anunnaki Frequencies and has 4 albums released - 2 solo albuns: Metal Forest and Book of Shadows, and 2 split albuns with German producer Psychoz: The Outsiders (2014) and Airborne (2018)with original tracks.  Dark River is soon to be releasing a new solo album in 2018. The sound line is psychedelic trance with diverse influences, from a melodic approach to a darker and faster. Bpm range is 142-149.
