6 years ago I played the closing at local techno club near my hometown and with a mix of intensely energizing breaks and classic techno after hour weapons I somehow made it to fully captivate the audience with exactly the sound that I live and die for. After the show they reached out to me and just wanted to hug me in gratitude for their experience. Seeing a bunch of random but enthusiastic dancers ecstatically smiling like this made me realize my true intention as a DJ. Sharing the sound that I love in order to make it up to this point is and was my passion ever since.
Sound wise I always try to catch up with the mood of the audience while blending a variety of styles ranging from 90s Techno, Electronica, timeless peak time stompers and carefully selected modern interpretations of Techno into an intense story full of tangible rhythms and emotions. Please and tease but always keeping it rolling - that’s my approach.

Long story short I always wanted a more immediate and permanent way to share the music I love than (just) performing. Starting a record label was a dream for many years that I finally worked up the courage for right at the beginning of the pandemic when I realized that doing nothing during quarantine was really no option at all.
For me, curating the style and image of a music label is all about aesthetics, authenticity, expression, and the message you want people to hear, see and feel. I actually see Vitus’ Curse more like an interdisciplinary melting pot of creativity made by the scene and for the scene. Thus I’m absolutely grateful for each and every one who helped me summon Vitus’ Curse once again. I mean it’s been almost 500 years ;)

I just moved to Berlin and started working for a booking & management agency and record label so there’s a lot to learn and discover for me plus I finally got the chance work with people that share my very belief and understanding of the rave culture (I’m such a cliché haha). With the combination of both, my work and Vitus’ Curse we got tons of ideas, projects and of course releases waiting in the wings so there’s a lot to come in the near future!

Fascinated by the world of sound design and the sheer
endless diversity of contemporary Techno, Not Modest
developed both, his production style as well as his burning
passion for performance and curation as a DJ over the past
few years. Having played numerous underground clubs and
festivals during the last decade, the young German gained
loads of experience, perfectly sharpened his sense for
electronic dance music, and proved his devotion to the night.

After organizing different local event series in his
hometown and Nuremberg he established his record label Vitus‘ Curse
in 2020 and makes his way on the radar of the national
scene ever since. Followed by his first official releases “Inner
Unrest” and “Fainted Signs” on his in-house imprint besides
a new era of artists like Lifka, Egotot, Kalte Liebe, Wrangel,
Any Mello, Franz Jäger, Blanka, and many more he now
founds himself surrounded by a flourishing and aspiring
network within the everchanging international scene.

With energy, diverse selections, and the element of surprise
up his sleeve he captivates the audience with driving
underground Techno, classic peak-time belters, and
unheard electronic gems. True to the motto "please and
tease", each set thus becomes a rolling but vivid journey

Today guest lives up to his name because he doesn’t have to be modest. @notsomodest is a young, passionate, and aspiring DJ and producer from Berlin who’s not only an excellent performing artist but who has also gained a lot of experience within the last few years.
