We met him in downtown PDX catching @synchronistic & @pacificpatterns at a gyro joint. Following QU/\Z's crisp bass from outside we were glad we showed up early. He threw down a smooth and sexy set that Soulection would have been proud of.

How would you describe your sound?

☸ I love intricately chopping vowelly bass sounds but also try to keep the hip hop spirit alive with the drum beat. I'm a sucker for alien/space sounds and video game blips and like to micro-
edit with these puppies as much as possible. I also love layering saw, square and sine waves to experimenting with sound design. Simply put, it's like a trippy dream ☸

What sets you apart in the age of digital music?

☸ I'd say the willingness to transform my style and move with time rather than strictly limiting myself to past styles of digital music production or to what others think digital production should represent ☸

Can you give us some background on your musical career?

☸ It started as a lil baby, mom said I was constantly moving with the rhythm of the beat, slightly learned some music theory playing trombone in elementary, and loved all types of genres growing up. But what really glued it all together was falling for Dubstep after a friend warmed me up to Electro­House in high school. Dubstep inspired my search for bassy wubby future tunes that lead me to SoundCloud. After a year of downloading bass and watching my brothaman Simon make tracks, I knew I had found the craft where I could express my creativity, wisdom, and all those thoughts and feelings which at the time were driving me insane. Once life balanced out, and with hard and inspired work, I begin to put that craziness where I felt it belonged, in harmony. Hence, TriLLwax ­ inspired by intricate fusions of old patterns of belief, and those who do such things. ☸

Can you recall a specific memory you have that captures your musical passion?

☸ Putting off friends, family, homework, and personal health for 3 days trying to understand and make tipper and psychedelically inspired future bass music ­ all that mattered was the music man ☸

What projects would you like to take on next, and why?

☸ Master my musical craft, find a philosophical niche to help the world, then spread the love. I want to bring a new wave of creative energy through spreading music and wisdom and am always looking to cooperate and collaborate with like minded peeps ☸

If music were a fruit salad, what combination of "fruit" would your "salad" have?

☸ Dub Wubz, trap kicks and snares, west coast synths, lazers, arpeggiated delayed clicks and a phat sub bass, I think that translates to a orange/grape/strawberry/kiwi/coconut/mango vibe salad ☸

If you could invent a genre, what would you call it and how would you define it?

☸ Future TriLL, which would be a genre for future­conscious producers keeping it true and real. It’s for those producers who’ve successfully grooved through funky times and can make music that helps the world to do the same ☸

If you were a music director for an action film, what track would you choose to introduce a fight scene?

☸ Outlit ­ Breathe ☸

In one sentence, explain what music is to someone that has never heard it before.

☸ Audible patterns that reflect the rhythm of life, and the secret of love ☸

If you could pick one sentence/phrase to be associated with you in history, what would it be?

☸ Get that corn outta my face! ☸

After the mad scientists realized the true nature of the monsters they had created they tried to destroy the foul creatures they had spawned but were overwhelmed by the sonic insanity and bled to death from their ears. To this day the location of Circuit Bent is unknown, but their presence on the internet is evidence that the world is still not safe from the global menace lurking around the corner.
