An emotive call from the cosmos to dive inward toward the flowing sine wave of Creation, Deep Space Dubz transports listeners to a pocket of reality safe from the noise of daily being—a downbeat sanctuary for the wandering mind where immutable dub echoes in and out of the void and spritely reverberations dance to illuminate the darkness.

Although many producers attempt to bridge palpable psychedelia into their music, few do it as well as Texas producer Somatoast, who's debut EP "Withinity" is out April 30th on Gravitas Recordings. Swirling chord progressions mix with a motley palette of virtuoso sound design, assuring this album is perfect for a headphone excursion. However, this does not detract from the four track EP's danceability -- strong rhythm is carried through the dubby basslines and bouncy drum arrangements. Deeply textured atmospheres wash through the listener's headspace no matter the physical environment, highlighted by fluttering echoes and spacious reverb. Circuit Bent were manufactured inside the bowels of a top secret laboratory for the purpose of being super soldiers hell bent on world domination. After the mad scientists realized the true nature of the monsters they had created they tried to destroy the foul creatures they had spawned but were overwhelmed by the sonic insanity and bled to death from their ears. To this day the location of Circuit Bent is unknown, but their presence on the internet is evidence that the world is still not safe from the global menace lurking around the corner.
