Dedicated to my best boi Buku.

This was the last song that Dylan and I wrote together (sending the project back and forth) in April 2020. Psionic as a duo ended around that time. I had been in such a negative headspace regarding creativity and music in general since covid, so I did not take our split particularly well. May of 2022 I had to lay my sweetest boi of over 8 years to rest after an acute hospitalization. Losing my boy resulted in a long, depressed summer. I have adopted a new pup as not a way to fill the massive hole left in my heart, but to provide a great life for another animal in need. Buku's spirit lives on through me, my music, and my new pup. Rest in peace king, I love you so much. 

I thank all those close to me and especially those who continue to provide me opportunities to showcase my music.

The Oxidized compilation series is a charity project we have been working on since the inception of The Rust Music, with Oxidized, Vol. 1 being our very first label release in February 2017. At the end of each year we select a new charity, aid organization, or non-profit, to which all proceeds from the series are donated. In the past we have donated to organizations focusing on natural disaster aid, environmental restoration and preservation, as well as civil/human rights advocates and COVID-19 relief efforts on local, national, and international levels. 2022 proceeds from the Oxidized series will be donated to support women’s rights to healthcare and access to abortion, with this year’s donation to be determined towards the end of 2023. 

Across the last 6 years, we've recurrently tapped into a network of both our roster talent and our close associates across the experimental electronic music spectrum to craft our first two Oxidized compilations. Now, for the final entry in the Oxidized Trilogy, we've brought together 32 producers, songwriters, and musicians from the US, the UK, Germany and Georgia to craft 28 tracks that cross through a medley of motifs in Hip-Hop, Drum & Bass, Downtempo, and more. Somewhere between Earth and the digital soundscapes of the astral plane you will find Jan Amit, aka Yan Pavelchuk, a 21 year old Russian Electronic Music composer and electronic music producer. His vibes go deeper and further than most average producers his age. He whimsically composes focused electronic sounds and acoustic timbres, all while gracefully supplementing vastly emotional and soulful sound design. Elevating his soundtrack style compositions with catchy melodies and heavy bass. Bringing the ying to the yang.

Jan first started producing in 2009 and his genre style has grown and changed significantly since. He's passed through many genres like soothing Chillout, IDM, and Neuro Bass music. You can witness and hear the many years of experience with his live performances as he takes you on his personalized artistic journey.

According to the producer, this release is made to emphasize the long awaited breaking of boundaries within musical genres: each track refers to an exact story from his biography, having been performed in its own unique style. Jan Amit - Murky

Circuit Bent were manufactured inside the bowels of a top secret laboratory for the purpose of being super soldiers hell bent on world domination. After the mad scientists realized the true nature of the monsters they had created they tried to destroy the foul creatures they had spawned but were overwhelmed by the sonic insanity and bled to death from their ears. To this day the location of Circuit Bent is unknown, but their presence on the internet is evidence that the world is still not safe from the global menace lurking around the corner.
