A little something I wrote and recorded as winter's last snow fell outside. All synths are Prophet 12. Field recordings are from the river where I live, and the drums are a DFAM. There's some Chase Bliss processing from a Mood and a Tonal Recall RKE as well. Performed live from a 1010 Blackbox, into an SSL SiX.

Novation Circuit Rhythm - Dislogic

A collection of short tracks I've made on the Field, and then blended into a brief mixtape. The name felt so appropriate somehow.

It's a combination of field samples, ambient noodles, live recordings, old synth loops, live jams on the OP's synths and all kinds of stuff, just a cauldron of juicy stuff really.

OP-1 Field - the Mixtape

Another one made entirely in the OP-1. Synths, samples and whatnot, all from the OP-1. Some resampling through a Chase Bliss Habit, and the whole thing mixed and mastered on a TX-6.

OP-1 Field - Tomorrow

Another one on the OP-1 Field only. I took it with me to sample slices of conversations, sounds and voices I picked up throughout the day, and then added some pads and atmospheres on that. Ran a few of the tracks through a Chase Bliss Mood, resampled them back into the OP-1 Field and well ... there you go.

OP - 1 Field - Them

Another little something put together on the Field. This one used the internal synth engines for extensive resampling from tape into sampler, then recorded back onto versions of the tape effects (mostly porta), and dropped as finals on the Studio tape. After that, I added a few more tracks and ran them through a GenLossMKII, a Chase Bliss Habit and a Chase Bliss Blooper and just mixed it all together.

OP-1 Field - Found

A first mix with both the TP-7 and the TX-6. Field recordings are captured with the TP-7. First take of all tracks recorded into the TP-7, then into the OP-1 for actual song composition, and back onto TP-7 and TX-6 for multitrack mixing and mastering. Kind of.

1010 blackbox - What We Found

An experiment with all tape tracks on the OP-1 running independently from each other, by recording and re-recording onto the master vinyl and back onto four track again. It might sound like it's from the same song but it's not :) if that makes sense,

A slightly longer track with the 1010 Blackbox, where I'm pushing it on polyrythms, combined live clips and song mode, as well as loops mixed with sequenced one shots. All's done within the blackbox, no external sequencing, fx processing or whatnot.

1010 Black Box - When Disco Came Around

Another, this time quite brief, track where I'm experimenting with a new, more intimate sound. Lots of polyrytms going on here as usual. Anything that sounds like grain or filth, is from a session with a DFAM I had over a year ago. The drums are from the Tanzmaus, and synths and bass are from a Tempest, again a session a few months old which I decided to pick up now. Everything put together, mixed and performed live from the Blackbox.

1010 Blackbox - Into the Tempest

My first gig with the monome norns and grid. Brought nothing with me but those two, using the Timber app. All was free form, triggered from the grid with some live tweaking, but a lot of work just done by Timber's lfo's and envelopes, to be honest.

For better or worse, the mix isn't processed at all, this is live directly from the norns. I kind of think the Timber filters sounded so good, I didn't want to do any additional processing on this.

After some time away from the Deluge, it was time to make another track with it. This one really pushes the Deluge as far as polyphony, synth engine and polyphone goes. Samples are field recorded straight into the Deluge from the river where I live.

This one is the Prophet 12 only, recorded, mixed and performed from the 1010 Bluebox. While much of this track is me playing live, some parts where multi-tracked afterwards using the Bluebox midi sync feature.
