MAINFRAME is an experimental platform for artists to explore the deepest depths of electronic music spectrums while flexing their technical capabilities. Artists to be featured on the MAINFRAME will range from hungry up-and-comers all the way to well-respected selectors. The common ground shared by artists in the MAINFRAME is not determined by their sound, but their willingness to push forward, break the molds, shatter preconceived boundaries, and remain #FUTUREFOCUSED.

A departure from his typical dancefloor destruction, Horge takes us on a journey to the darker realms of his inspirations.

Words from Horge:
"This mix is accurately indicative of where I am creatively and emotionally, dealing with the 2020 pandemic anxiety in tandem with my own mental issues. I’ve always sought out the sound of future garage ever since I heard Burial’s Untrue album, and that influence has bled through a lot of my work. I seem to be more known for my energetic sets and music, I decided to be a bit more intimate with my curation for this mix as well as experiment with some nonconventional transitions.
The first half deals with a lot of what I listen to daily, from some of my favorite artists and bands. The second half showcases all the techno I’ve been really inspired by. I didn’t have any of my original techno tunes ready in time for this but hopefully those see the light of day soon. I was thinking of putting them out and pursuing this techno/trance hybrid sound under another alias but I have decided I’ll just use the surname “Ophanim” to help me categorize my techno tunes and sets, still working that out.
An ophanim is a biblical angel known for its many eyes and wings, and burning spherical wheel-like shapes. They’re depicted as guardians of heaven. I decided with that name because when I listen to this particular melodic techno, it helps disassociate mentally and appeals to my emotions, in a transcendental way while still maintaining dark intimidating aesthetics and sonics. That duality goes hand in hand with the depiction of these ophanim beings: they’re supposed to represent holiness and divinity but look terrifying, hence they’ll remind you to be not afraid."

One of the founding members of Simpler Times Events in San Diego, Psilovybe has been DJing and producing events since 2010.   He is known for his dark psychedelic sets, playing techno, progressive, psytrance, trance, drum and bass and breaks. While usually being spotted turning up dust in the Mojave desert, he has also been seen playing tunes as far north as Mount Shasta and east in Las Vegas. Early this year, Psilovybe was added as a resident DJ for the Desert Escape crew. With a wide range of sounds, he is prepared to bring the weirdness at any hour!
