Aedi Records is a collective record label that unites over 250 electronic music producers and enthusiasts—founded by Michel Iseneld, father of Hypnus Records.

Together we have shaped every aspect of the imprint during a systematic process of democratic discussions, idea submissions and votes.

We learn and explore the fields of electronic music production collectively. By sharing our minds in an inclusive environment, we grow both as individuals and a group simultaneously.

This compilation contains the first musical harvest of our creative quest, featuring eight tracks made by 14 producers collaborating for the first time.

We have a lot more in store and feel excited to explore this new way of collectively learning and sharing music beyond the traditional record label format.

IV was made by the Aedi network in December 2020 as an experiment in creative minimalism.

Each track was made using only four audio channels with one sound source each. 24 contributions were submitted and anonymously voted down to 6 by the over 200 producers on the label.

The rules were:

" Your project should only have four channels with one sound source each.

- Return tracks do not count as a channel.
- Group buses do not count as a channel.
- Parallel processing is allowed.
- Drum & Instrument Racks are > not < allowed.
- Effects Racks are allowed.
- Outboard gear is permitted as long as you use only four sounds in total.

Example: kick, snare, hat, and tom from a 909 count as four sounds."

The Artist Sunday Bath is an producer and musician with a dedicated approach to a suspended path between excavation, improvisation and spatialization. Through the careful study of the sound design and the stereophonic perception of the sounds that Giacomo presents us with, the listener can access a dreamlike and immersive dimension; the exploration of imaginary places dotted with artifacts that seem fleeting and chimerical where the artist seeks to center us with his music.
