From one coast to the other and beyond these charted lands, Urban Ghost flits beyond these known realms into mirages at the corner of your eye, a silhouette in a mirror of long gone figures. Corporeally centered in Seattle but phasing through many dimensions, the Urban Ghost resides between the lands of sleep and wakefulness, spinning ancient tales and singing songs long lost to the soil.

Circular Reasoning is an unconventional retrofitting of R&B and funk from the fertile grounds of the Seattle music scene, overlaying psychedelic, jazzy abstractions over old-school stone grooves. Materialized in the U-District by arranger/keyboardist Mikko Nynäs, CR has been romping around the Seattle area since 2011, spewing novel sounds and unorthodox lyricism. Their recent adventures involving the unapologetic matrimony of funk and progressive rock have culminated in their second full-length studio album, ‘Simple Music for Simple Times’, an audacious, heavily-orchestrated voyage to obscure destinations.

Black Giraffe appreciates the one person dancing like no one’s watching in a crowd seemingly trapped in the tiny town from Footloose. The goal of every live show is to turn the whole audience into Kevin Bacon by mixing Soul, R&B, rock, and any rhythm that moves people with a grimy pop palette.
