This was my first of over 10 Essential Mixes I’ve done, as always recorded live in one take, as was then on 3 vinyl decks. I was a super sub presenter on BBC Radio 1 at the time too, standing in for peak time Friday and Saturday (Pete Tong, Danny Rampling, Seb Fontaine) breaking a newer sound to the UK mixed with my raw house music sentiment, something that’s never left me.
