Huxley's rise to the forefront of the UK dance music scene has been an exceptional and speedy process, establishing himself quickly as a figurehead with a foot in both the UK Garage and House scenes. The continued rise of Scottish award winning techno Dj/Producer Stevie Wilson is growing in epic proportion. Since he started producing techno music only in May 2011 his tracks have been well received in the techno community and gaining massive support from Dj's all over the world. In this short space of time he also won the award for best Scottish Techno producer 2012 at the E.M.M.A.S & this has now made his name stand out among the rest and show everybody that he means business.

Stevie's passion for music started at a very early age. From the days of school buying and swapping music with friends it was clear to him then that he had to take the next step and get his first set of decks. Since then stevie has never looked back and is always pushing the boundaries with his musical and technical abilities from when he is performing in clubs rocking the dancefloors with his high energy pounding beats to the music he produces in which he blends all sorts of different sounds from deep & dark to twisted industrial sounds to full on banging grooves that is guaranteed to get any crowd moving on the dancefloor.

His main influences from the early days were people like Carl Cox, Laurent Garnier, Bass Generator, Mikey B, Easygroove, Technotrance and basically the whole early hardcore techno / breakbeat era.

Nowadays his influences are people like Len Faki, A.Paul, The Advent & Industrialyzer, Dave Clarke, Eddie Halliwell, Chris Liebing, Monoloc, Pfirter, Alan Fitzpatrick, Gary Beck, and loads more. The amazing thing is he has got to play alongside some of these guys who inspire him so much such as A.Paul, Eddie Halliwell, Alan Fitzpatrick, Valentino Kanzyani, Judge Jules, Hernan Cattaneo, Hans Bouffmyhre,Randy Katana, Dj Misjah and many more and he has also played outside the UK in Germany, Austria, Portugal, Ireland, & Spain

Stevie has played at all the best venues in Scotland such as The Arches, Room At The Top, The Soundhaus, Ivory Blacks, The Metro, Club 69, Liquid Rooms and that’s just to name a few which has spread over various club nights.

So you can tell techno is his passion, his life and an art form he clearly loves.

Googana

Ever since Krisztian Meszaros aka. Googana turned 13, music has been the most important thing in his life. From the age of 14-16 this love of music manifested him into playing guitar in a nu-metal and punk band.
It was only after a few years later that he was to become more enchanted with electronic music. He has been DJing since 2004 and started to play at parties in the same year. Up until 2009 he was mostly into psytrance music, but also enjoyed playing dub,minimal, progressive,house and techno.
In Hungary he played mostly in the Pecs and Szekszard areas in nearly all well-known clubs, bars and smaller festivals. He also had a weekly radio show on Periszkop Radio. Once he had the opportunity to play in Budapest at the well-known Kashmir Club.
In 2008 he moved to Leeds and later on, to London where he finally discovered, and got into the house and techno sounds he was looking for. So his main psytrance interest transformed into a brighter spectrum of dub-techno, deep-house, tech-house, prog-house, prog-techno and techno.
In 2010 Krisztian successfully completed a course named ‘Introduction into Music Production: Logic Pro 9’ at Pointblank. Now that he has the technical proficiency and music skills, he has started to produce his own music in addition to working on mixes. Since 2011 has been a resident DJ on Modulate FM (http://modulatefm.com/) where he invites up and coming and already well-known artists (e.g: Chris David, Darmec, Komut, GabbeN, Xilinox aka the Bee, NHB, Genetic Noise, Axel L., SpecDub and Jacob DannyL) to play. Googana's Party Prescription on Modulate FM is every 4 weeks on Friday from 7-9pm.
He also played in some smaller and larger clubs/bars in London (Club Aquarium, The Fence, Raving Buddha, Ember, Tart Bar...) as well as having had a few opportunities to play in Spain (Aftersun Festival, Bar El Dorado).

Demmyboy

Demmyboy was born in 1985 in Hungary. He has a close relationship with the music, since he was childhood. He derive from family of musicians. He started 8 years old to learned to play piano for 7 years at music school.
The world of DJ's 10-11 years old began to be interested. He knew then, he wants to this do. He listened continuously to a lot of the big ones, just to name a few: Richie Hawtin, Marco Carola, Carl Cox, Cristian Varela, Marco Bailey, Umek, Sven Vath, Adam Beyer, Chris Liebing, Mauro Picotto, Jeff Mills....etc.
When he was 12 years old, he was given an opportunity first time at elementary school on carnival party, and from this point he was the host of all various school-parties. The first major event he was entitled in 1999 at a local bar new year's eve night. Since then has been turned a lot of at bars, large clubs, outdoor events all over the country, sometimes he played as host.
He tries to convey the discerning music to the people. He knows that fewer people are affected, but his intention only the discerning ears to target.
He has more than 13 years of experience. Demmyboy's musical style is the result of many years of hard work and great experience to dominate the dance floor. The Underground Music has always attracted him, this is the way of life that is closest to his heart. He plays Tech-House, Minimal, Progressive & Techno, but there are in his bag House, Funky & Latin House tunes.
He knows the needs of the people, of this style of party. His 2-3 days of continuous parties became known he. He plays from Heart for 10 people or for thousands. When he plays music, boil of air.

Paving the way for the new era of DJs, Lexer’s ascension to deep house superstar has been rapid since turning his hand to production in 2012, with the likes of Bakermat, Oliver Schories, Klangkarussel, Alle Farben and Tom Novy all supporting the German’s signature sound. Joining the dots between Europe’s hottest cities, the promising trailblazer can reminisce back on a packed touring schedule with performances from Amsterdam to Zurich, Berlin to Paris - not to mention plenty of festivals appearances in between. 

Now with his impending release on Kittball, Lexer delivers yet another reason for industry leaders to take heed of his talents. Melodic breakdowns and a pensive hook are the reasoning behind the title of ‘Thoughtful’, a track that emits sunshine and solstice with every lasting note. The rumbling kick drums of ‘Rusty Heart’ make for a heavier number, whilst playful bass stabs, charming melodies and glorious strings make for a testament to Lexer’s rocketing talents as a producer.

First up on remix duties is Kittball favourite in.deed, whose rendition of ‘Rusty Heart’ introduces a fuzzy bass hook and sultry atmospherics to a positively upbeat cut. Pulling apart the original and reconstructing it into a completely different creature, Ron Flatter then ties up the release with a stripped back and understated renovation that saunters along amiably.

Frantisek Urban aka DJ Franke has begun his interest in electronic music around year 1993. At first he was only wondering around in local clubs and by the year 1999 he is already active with his own DJ performances. Presently he is a leading representative of the next generation techno Czech DJ´s with performances in clubs around the country and in neighbouring Slovakia.

Year 2003 is the date when he joins the Basswave booking agency and remains loyal but quite shortly he also joins CTRL agency operated by the part of the czech largest dance music site sewer.techno.cz. At the beggining of the year 2006 he leaves Basswave agency only to become exclusive member at Sewer and resident of the Bass Wave Attack and Incubator night at the Prague´s club Guru. Incubator nights are at present time held under new name Incubator Tour.

Uncompromising, Dark, Atmospheric. Techno! That’s the sound of Cortechs. It did not take long until the unique sound of Cortechs became attention in the global underground scene of techno music. After multiple releases on various prestigious labels, Cortechs earned his rightful position among the most important producers and performers of the german underground techno movement.

With his first album "The End Justifies The Means" which was released on his regular label "Machine Box", Cortechs was able to give his sound a very personal touch and gather enough raw materials to use and intuitively play with in his exquisite Ableton Live sets. Having been on tour through Germany a lot of times, he always found inspiration for producing new sounds. This new material was also the basis for upcoming projects like the "Last 13 EP" released on Steil or the collaboration with Hackler & Kuch which was released on De-Konstrukt. With remixes for Angy Kore, Niereich, Morgan Tomas or Mike Wall, Cortechs has become an important and much requested remixer in the scene.

In 2013 even more live gigs came around. This automatically resulted in much new material again which directly found ist way into his ableton sessions . This was also the biggest influence for his next big Project, his second LP "Waste of Humanity", which will be released on Steil later this year. So if you are looking for atmospheric and massive bassline tracks, make sure to look out for Cortechs!

First remix is from none other than Tomy DeClerque, we love him and his sound! Can't get enough of his driving power of the total energy. He has a long and successful career, the fantastic remix is the result of this. Tomy is one true proffesional artist.
The last remix is from the swedish techno producer Andy Notalez, he wants to create that feeling, of how one absolutely wicked basement party can be around 7 o'clock in the morning, rough and hard! A solid EP.

Japan’s finest techno export is back. Since his last release for Token in 2010, Go Hiyama  has graced other heavyweight techno institutions like Stroboscopic Artefacts, Perc Trax &amp; Audio Assault. Now he returns to Token, following Phase’s highly acclaimed ‘Binary Opposition Reprocessed’ earlier this summer.

‘Arc One’ contains 3 tracks, each with a different timbre. ‘Farnsworth House’ focuses on hazy atmospherics over a stomping drum pattern, while ‘Dymaxion Map’ is a more of an instant heavy hitter with punishing percussion.
Go keeps the best for the flip side track. ‘Fallingwater’ builds slowly over a tough yet sophisticated off beat rhythm. Tension grows while the haunting noisy synths lead to a thrilling breakdown, after which it kicks back in ferociously.

Go Hiyama remains one the most interesting techno artists of the last decennium and continues to intrigue by reinventing his sound without losing that recognisable touch. I’m a fan, to say the least.

Inigo’s style is hard to define. It can be dark, dreamy, fast, slow, hard hitting, industrial, melodic or more, but you always know it’s him. Over the years he developed a unique sonic identity while always enhancing his technical and creative expertise.

Token 24, which has a double a-side, reflects all of this. ‘Spectre’ hits hard yet gloomy. Relentless drums bathing in reverb and a strange synth line create yet another unique IK-piece. 
‘Wonderhorse’ is built on the same foundations but explores a more melodic &amp; psychedelic trajectory.

Zeitgeber is a project that sees Lucy and Speedy J exploring roots and limits. The duo have both indulged their experimental sides from time to time. Perhaps most notably Speedy J with his mid-’90s run on Novamute, and Lucy on his 2011 full-length for Stroboscopic Artefacts. But Zeitgeber is something more, with two artists pushing each other to go further. SA018 is a single that gives only a slight hint as to what is to come in the shape of a complete LP. ‘Body Out’ is floor-ready techno with a twist. The textures that lie beneath feel like they’re just as important (if not more), slithering and twittering away in constant dialogue with the just-slightly-off-the-grid beat. ‘Body In’ is the inverse of the A-side, a slow-moving chorus of indescribable ambience. As a precursor to the forthcoming album, it’s a perfect taster of the uncompromising sounds yet to be heard.

Advent – A coming, or an arrival, a coming into being or use. 

Quite an appropriate name for Cisco Ferreira, a man who has played a big part in the creation and development of Techno from the very beginning of this genre’s history. Indeed, his Techno CV is the stuff of legend. Cisco was producing Techno and performing live Techno shows years before the rest of the world had even heard of the genre. He released his first track in 1988, was a pioneer of the Live PA (or Live Public Address – performing Techno live in front of an audience using electronic music gear), and, if all that wasn’t enough, he even worked as the sound engineer on some of Derrick May’s, Adonis & Fingers Inc’s recording sessions! 

The list goes on, and so does Cisco. Unlike other Techno pioneers from the early years, Cisco continues to produce with as much passion and frequency as he did back in the day. His releases on Labels Like Tresor, Rotation, Electrix, Kanzleramt, Dj Gigolos, Pure Plastic, Synewave plus many more is just another example of his ongoing pursuit to keep making music and pushing Techno to new boundaries. 

Cisco was born to Portuguese parents on the island of Madeira (Portugal). His family moved to London (1975) when he was five years old, setting the stage for his musical career. While at Paddington College (1986) in West London, he studied sound engineering and secured a job after graduation as an assistant sound engineer at ZOLOU Then later WALL Studios.  

At this period is when he really started to learn about Sound & Production, his 1st main recording sessions as an engineer were rock & “Inde” based bands & the studio owners being in successful rock bands. Matt Dangerfield & John Payne “ASIA” this 1st step was a start in learning about balancing & mixing down the rock way, which had a lot of intense & Raw energy especially on drums & Guitars.. 

Other bands Cisco did sessions for: P.I.L. (John Lydon - sex pistols) – Robert Plant (Led Zeppelin) – That petrol emotion. Then Later Pop, Dance, Soul & reggae groups like: Wild Bunch (Nelly hopper & Massive Attack) – Marco Pirroni (Adam & the ants) - Maxi Priest – Sly Dunbar (Sly & Robbie) – Loose Ends – Cheryl Lynn… 

1987 Cisco began going to clubs and learning about this new thing called Acid House, which was spreading like crazy throughout London’s underground scene, culminating in the famous “Summer of Love” in 1988, the genre’s golden period. 

Around this time, a record label called, Jack Trax, “One of the 1st to release Acid House, House & techno in UK” moved in next door and began using the same studio for recording sessions, with Cisco as the engineer working with Fingers Inc, Adonis, Marshall Jefferson & Derrick May. Cisco released his first record in 1988 on Ferrari records (R&S records) Then later “Cisco Ferreira” EP on Fragile. 

His first big break came in 1994, when he and fellow Londonite Colin McBean (a.k.a. Mr. G) were brought on by Internal Records to help co-produce a group called Salt Tank. A record contract with Internal/FFRR soon followed, committing The Advent to 12 EP’s and 3 albums.

Today, The Advent goes on just as Cisco Ferreira. While he has had a long history with tons of accomplishments to hang his hat on, he continues to make history. The Advent is fulfilling Cisco’s vision as much as ever. He is busy touring as both a DJ and a live performer, producing for numerous labels, and running his own Techno imprint, Kombination Research. 

As Cisco moves forward, striving to fulfill the ambitious goals he has set one can look back at his storied past and see how he has come full circle… The Saga continues.
