Lithuanian upstart Zakmina returns to Roam Recordings with two new stunning originals backed by ace remixes from Donald Dust and Roam alum Fabrizio Mammarella. The title track,Viral News, is a pulsating 80s infused thriller that builds with driving energy. Caroline takes it a bit deeper with its intricate synth work while keeping it big and moving. Up first on remix duty is Donald Dust who reworks the title track into freestyle territory with its rhythmic play of the original's 80s vibe. Rounding out the EP is Fabrizio Mammarella's psychedelic acid take on Caroline that has early morning warehouse written all over it.

Here in Calypso we are big fans of Mytron & Ofofo. Their track Something for the mind was one of our favourite tracks a couple of years ago. So when Mytron came to us saying that he took it upon himself to re-work some of our Take Aways we were more than delighted and didn't hesitated to ask him if he will like to release them with us. 
So here they are, Peru's Aristidez and Brazil's Celestino get the Mytron threatment to take their tracks even to newer heights. The result is funky and dirty as you would expect from the man.

Once it had been home to all manner of birds, bugs and animals, blissfully unaware that they would soon be pushed out of their home in favour of humanity. Where tree branches once sprawled and thick green ivy had laced its way into the crumbling brickwork of ancient pathways, now glass buildings towered overhead and chain coffee shops teamed with tourists getting their morning caffeine fix. Regeneration had taken over, gentrification had creeped in. The endless battle of man vs nature.

For their seventh release, Vienna-based imprint Belly Dance Services enlist the talents of Mexico's Bufi AKA Theus Mago. Titled Baile Muerto, the EP flaunts Bufi's signature take on modern dance music; at times dark and hypnotic and at others bright, percussive and tropical-tinged. Both original tracks on the release are backed up by two remixes, one from label heads Hanzo & Yaman and another by Multi Culti boss Thomas Von Party.
