Hello - My name is Peggy. I work in HR at a boring US corporate company. I moonlight as a downtempo music DJ. This is the recording of my first US DJ rodeo - live, closing the Sloth Disco stage of the CAMP (Calling All Magical People) Festival. We went from 4 to 6 am. I hope you like it.

When the Temple burns, we bury a part of ourselves. 

We remember. We cry. We smile. And we move forward. 

A beautiful moment of eternity. Something intimate. Sometimes hard. Somehow sacred.

Playing on the Robot Heart bus after the Temple Burn has become an annual tradition for me.  It's a very special moment emotionally.  But this one was the toughest.  For many reasons...

But in the end, this closing opened the door to something bigger.

I am forever grateful for what happened afterward. Family for life. Unforgettable. All love.

At first I trembled and shook, and then I took a closer look and saw that the shadow with it's arm outstretched toward me offered not terror, but dance and mysterious melody. And in this way, was born Shadow Play. A way to be free for both friend and enemy. A way travelled  with love through the darkness and the light.

Spirit Ventures XI: Shadow Play

As torrential rain made it clear we wouldn’t get to dance outside beside the creek on Saturday afternoon, it reminded me that sometimes, when we make plans, god laughs.

Luckily, there was a backup plan for us all to turn the cabin’s basement into a sweat lodge of good times.  

Here are 90 minutes of throwback jams that are designed to work in a wide variety of settings.

The 3 hours of groovy, swingy vibes in this mix were inspired by Tulum organic / melodic house, Latin house, Afro house, deep house, some disco flavors, and a bit of indie dance. Citrus Age spins up sets of dusty deep house and melodic techno that connect the personal to the ethereal, and the wild to the tender.

As a lifelong musician in pursuit of exceptional vibrations, Citrus was initially drawn to dance music by the heady and sparkling sounds emanating from the art cars of Black Rock City. Citrus Age began DJing in 2019 and quickly became a resident for Seattle deep house collective Reflect, playing parties throughout the Pacific Northwest. Always one to hold a vision, he led the Reflect collective into their current form as a crew changing the shape of deep, melodic music in the Pacific Northwest through their open air parties, micro festivals and club nights that feature bespoke line-ups of local and international talent.

Citrus Age's selections integrate compelling, steady rhythms, intricate and sublime melodies, and a definite sensuality. These sensibilities, held within the context of the party, make for sets that raise the vibration on the dance floor and invite everyone to turn on, tune in and come together.
