Correspondants 28th release, Polina, delivers another brooding, evocative EP for the label, this time from the Agents of Time polyhedron: a fusion of ideas and concepts that make up a single reality. The Italian trio of Andrea Di Ceglie, Fedele Ladisa, and Luigi Tutolo came together in the summer of 2013, and their inaugural album was released via Stem Records in January of the following year. The group uses both analog and digital equipment to refine their unique amalgam of progressive, techno, and ambient music.

Swiss selectors Benja & Reto Ardour have crafted a stunning trio of tracks for their Audiomatique Recordings debut. 

Both are closely linked to an absolute institution of Zurich nightlife: Serving as resident DJs at the famed Hive Club, and appearing as regular contributors on its inhouse label Hive Audio, Benja & Reto Ardour, both independently and as studio partners, have had a definitive hand in pushing the agenda forward in the Swiss scene. 

Now with 'Cognition', the production partnership of three years is delving even deeper into the multitude of shades between house and techno.

Opening track 'Cognition' lands right in centre of a sleek, rolling beat; alternating between big sweeping gusts, spirit voices and thundering pads, it is tailor made for keeping the dancefloor moving. 

Berlin-based Einmusik contributes a strong remix-version of the title track and presents a completely different interpretation of the original by moving it to a rather melancholy, darker area.

'6 Bells' has more melodic concerns at its heart, with layers of shifting, shimmering chords and progressions that inject it with a suspenseful tone. 

'Slow Motion' is the satisfying conclusion, fusing a slower tempo with poignant piano chords, but moving the lighter elements forward with a solid kick beat and hand clicks.

Until now, David Mayer needs to be on every radar as a young producer, breathing new life into classic Techno-virtues. Within his productions it seems to be the men-machine pulling the strings. They are grooving through plant floors, they are pumping blood into boilers and with just subtle manoeuvres, they are altering the soil temperature from stonecold to sweat inducing, depending on the current requirements.
Mayers new offering is directly taking on those qualities, while entitling it “Celsius”. It is indeed glowing floormaterial. It’s taking a rampant Techhouse-beat into a well heated Techno-basement, to add more and more condensing arrangements and finally open up for the instantly catching synth-hook. While he’s at it, Mayer controls a whole lot of scenes on the side. What he is offering here as particular finetunings and detailed soundmanipulations might lead into hourlong journeys under headphones. At the same time, the floor-efficiency of this tune couldn’t be more in your face. 
Then there’s the synth-tool on the flipside, leaving the kickdrum’s thickness behind, opening the door a bit more into the crystal clear synth-arrangements. Without a doubt, it’ll equip you with a tool, that’s letting the crowd feel save in the believe of having a little breather, to finally cook them in their own excitement in almost no time.
