Toolroom Records is proud to present the first in a series of EPs entitled 'Weiss City Vol 1' by one of our hot tips for 2013, Weiss.

'Weiss City Vol 1' showcases this producers vast talent by embracing house music's rich heritage with deep jacking grooves, warm rumbling subs, sweet sharp percussion and delicate vocal treatment. Leading the EP. 'You Treat Me Right' sets the tone with an infectious guitar lick and impassioned vocals on top of a driving but deep bass line. 'Do The Do' is straight up organ house, with an unforgettable melody, vocal cut and sharp percussion. Next up, Weiss delivers the funk with 'My Sister'; one of those tracks you'll have on repeat for weeks on end, the groove is unrivalled on this one! Finally, 'Silk Slut' concludes the EP on a slightly darker note with heavy drums, pitched down vocals and a rumbling bass; perfect for after parties.

The first in what is sure to be an accomplished set of EPs, transport yourself to 'Weiss City' for an exploration of the deeper side of house music.

The anonymous up-and-coming Weiss returns for the release of the highly anticipated ‘Weiss City Vol 2’. Bursting onto the scene earlier this year, the illusive Weiss has already captured the imagination of producers, press and the public alike with his inspiring take on old school house. The first in this series of EPs, ‘Weiss City Vol 1’, garnered support from the likes of Shadow Child, Ninetoes, Pleasurekraft, Noir, Bontan, Groove Armada, and more with ‘My Sister’ gaining airplay on B-Traits’ Radio 1 show and successfully taking over the Beatport deep house chart at No.3. Now Weiss returns to take the ‘Weiss City’ series a step further.

‘Weiss City Vol 2’ establishes Weiss’ take on house, as he presents three stand out tracks with his trademark punchy old school drums, deep rumbling bass and clever vocal hooks. Leading the charge ‘If I Ever Dance’ is destined to follow on from ‘My Sister’, taking over the more underground dance floors, propelled by an unforgettable groove and soulful vocals. With a simple and sweet melody alongside an unforgettable vocal, ‘Devil In The Sky’ is one for classic house enthusiasts wrapped in the classic M1 organ. 
Finally, ‘Ghetto Boy’ takes us deeper and darker for an after party feel; it’s all about the groove.

Sure to become a classic release in this already standout collection of EPs and cement Weiss furthermore as an artist who’s rapidly becoming one to watch, Weiss City (Vol 2) is the place to be.

Darin Epsilon is a well known Los Angeles based DJ and the mastermind behind Perspectives Digital . We find him in full form with his Miami friend Philip Chedid for a collab named “Endless Sands of Time” out soon on Parquet Recordings.

From Argentina to Kenya and the U.K, Darin delivers sharp Deep House and melodic Techno sets to his eager fans who always want more. Back in 2011, the Chicago native won a competition orchestrated by Beatport and mister John Digweed himself. Since then, Darin’s special skills as a producer put him to the top, with signings on Chapter 24, Global Underground, Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat and Microcastle.

Former Leiden, Holland resident Philip Chedid is an up and coming DJ now based in Forida, he is part of a new generation of artists hailing from the Wynwood area of Miami. His sets are a reflection of the “Burning Man” sound, in the festival’s best years, with a lot of acoustic elements.

The two are meeting on Solee’s imprint, Parquet Recordings, home of D-Nox & Beckers, Oliver Schories and Boss Axis. “Endless Sands of Time” sounds like a real collaboration featuring the mystical vibes of Darin and the Middle East influences of Philip. The song is no dance floor banger, but instead a spiritual poem with beautiful vocals and melodies.

“Endless Sands of Time” will drop on August 1st on Parquet Recordings.

Berlin legend Marco Resmann returns to Poker Flat Recordings with the Olympia EP - four tracks of his signature finely-crafted house music. Resmann’s status within the house and techno scene is well established, and these tracks emphasize why he’s so respected as a DJ, producer and label owner. 

First on the winner's podium is 'Olympia' - a  firing tech house monster with acidic undertones and a crisp, driving rhythm section.

'Discus' also hits the mark - a bubbling, trippy roller that layers precise percussion over evolving, unwinding bass grooves and synth explorations.

'Equal' is up next - maintaining Resmann’s reputation for total understanding of dancefloor dynamics - the tension is kept constant via the balancing of tightly wound melodic loops, bubbling acid and compact drums.

Closing out the EP - 'Javelin' takes flight with a tough tech workout, flexing its ample rhythmic muscle and suggesting that Resmann is in peak competitive form.
