Based in Rotterdam Yør Kultura have implemented a trademark sound of their own over the past year by, smoothly combining extravagant synth-melodies with stripped down bass lines to form a symbiosis in raw track- and sound structure. With releases on Karakter Records or Multi Culti as well as Laut&Luise the trio's music has gained recognition and support from Switchdance over to Sascha Funke or Swiss legend Ripperton. Now, after playing two shows at ADE last week, the Rotterdamers deliver the latest art:cast and after ADE soundtrack. The 1h and 12 minute lasting mix depicts Yør Kultura's versatility as they switch from a dark and raw tone to rhythmically afroesque influenced tracks and over to synth-pad touched tunes. Simply said, Yør Kultura take you all over the place still remaining one vibe, one sound, their music.

Väterchen Frost

Wenn er uns besucht fackelt er nicht lang. Unbemerkt und lautlos betritt er das Haus. Bei jedem Schritt bleibt eine kleine Schneespur zurück. Sein eisiger Atem bringt das Kaminfeuer zum erlischen und lässt das Blut in meinem Adern gefrieren. So schnell ich kann flieh ich in mein Zimmer und in mein Bett. Doch dann steht er auch vor meiner Zimmertür, ein Windstoß und sie gleitet langsam auf. Eiseskälte dringt ein, verteilt sich im Raum bis unter meine Bettdecke.
Zeit für die Offensive.
Heißer Kakao wird aufgesetzt und die Wärmflasche frisch befüllt. Im ganzen Haus werden die Feuer wieder entzündet, wohlige Wärme und der Duft von gedünstetem Gemüse und gebratenem Fleisch erfüllen unser Heim mit neuer Kraft.
Und Väterchen Frost? Der zieht sich Stück für Stück zurück, verlässt unsere Behausung und versucht woanders sein Glück.
Schtu, sein Set ist wie eine heiße Schokolade im tiefsten Winter. Ein Karamellbonbon nach langer Diät und ein Herzerwärmer an kalten Tagen.

The founders of this brand new stunt, Mjunik Disco author and music producer Mirko Hecktor and nightlife woman / bass player/ graphic designer Rosa Kammermeier like it tripple-trickle-tropi-tickle-pickle-trippycal. Their first release will be the ultra relaxed Tropical Island E.P. by secret live act/band Fuel Moon with an Oliver Klostermann Remix on the B-side.

Prepare 4 two lazy late-summer-after-season-festival bass line
driven tracks. A-side track „Tropical Island“ is built in the likes of New York No Wave Pioneer ESG vs. early 1980s balearic synth wave west-german slow disco á la colognes Gina X gone full on backboard yacht rock. Classic fat original analog cliché TR-808 kick drums meet underrated german 1970s drum machine Hohner Rhythm 80 solo entertainer-grooves meet the classic SH 101 acid bling an ultradeep Polysix lead pop synth line as well as the molto moody voices straight outta Fuel Moon’s tried out Neumann U47. Pure a-d-a, drop-it-gal magic.

The B-side on their Melos Disc Echo approach comes as a very
tripptycal, almost naiv stubborn, hard to recognize Dub-Breakbeat-

PREMIERE: Fuel Moon - Tropical Island (Oliver Klostermann Remix) [Trippycal Records]

La idea de este nuevo disco fue la curiosidad de Bellido por sentir lo que emerge desde la reinterpretación de otros artistas respecto de sus canciones originales y poder experimentar, según indica el músico, “cómo estos sonidos se amalgaman con otros artistas de distintas latitudes de la tierra”.

Es por ello que Chakana Remixes trasciende a la idea de “nuevas versiones”; integra la necesidad del joven músico peruano de volver a experimentar con nuevos sonidos y sensorialidades propuestos por otros artistas. Así, la búsqueda nace a partir de querer vivenciar, tal como propone Bellido “cómo estos sonidos vernaculares los entienden otros productores, que están muy abiertos a muchos estilos”, integrando, por ejemplo, el disco, el global bass, el downtempo y el house. 
 
En la reinterpretación de las canciones originales participaron músicos de diversas partes del mundo, tales como Nina Simmons (Italia), A-Tweed (Italia), Juan Correa (COL), Tribilin sound (PER), El Extravagante y Sistema Beat Andino (Chile), quienes hicieron un trabajo detallado y desafiante, ya que los temas originales del disco Chakana ya representaban una gran complejidad y virtuosismo impuesto por Bellido en un disco original profundo, con un imaginario potente de significados y conexiones ancestrales e investigación sobre sonoridades propias de diversas zonas de Perú.
