Karmon came into contact with electronic music in 2003 by experimenting with different styles and setups to mild success, but wasn't until early 2012 when the artist Karmon was truly born. Since then, Karmon has found a meteoric rise, with original productions, remixes, and gigs spanning the gamut of the dance music elite.

For today's exclusive premiere, we welcome the Swiss newcomer Benotmane back on Stil vor Talent after a year-long break, as he follows 2014's 'Sunqueen' with the impressive 4 track 'Cross Hands' EP. Here, we showcase Karmon's rework of 'Beyond' as a trance-leaning peak-timer featuring driving kicks and an atmospheric synth-lead.

Full Premiere: Benotmane - Beyond (Karmon Remix)

For our next installment of DTR, 005, we are pleased to present our "reconstructed edits" of the very influential band YELLO. 
We chose four tracks from the first four albums, stripped them down and reconstructed them into our own versions adding only subtle elements and maintaining the band's original and unique grooves.

Our unstoppable Welsh brother Jay Robinson drops his 4th EP (yes 4th) on Night Bass with the techy and grimy “Year Three Oh” EP. Tale Of Us present a new collaboration with Vaal for the sixth release on their Afterlife label. Three years after they teamed up for ‘Concur’ and began to tour together, the trio return with their most anthemic offering yet. Vaal’s hauntingly-beautiful and instantly-recognisable vocals are the centre-piece on ‘Monument’, building on the style of her Wander To Hell EP (AL002). The drums and shimmering synth lines are moody and uplifting in the way Tale Of Us have made their own, arranged perfectly for the psychedelic breakthrough.

On the flip side, ‘The Hangar’ takes a different approach to equally devastating effect. It pumps with added urgency and a thunderous, steely bassline lunges out from the low-end. Designed for large soundsystems and big rooms, ‘The Hangar’ finds Tale Of Us and Vaal at their most direct and it’s something to behold.

Barnt and Stephan Bodzin, two artists whose stand-out performances at recent Afterlife events have made them firm favourites with the crowds, are tapped for the remixes (AL007). They both take on ‘Monument’, Barnt opting for a rolling, percussive direction and Bodzin more ethereal and transportive.
