Sommer Sena (born July 26, 1990), better known as Sonny Verde, is an American rapper of Dominican descent from Uptown, New York City. The 2015 mixtape release of FREE VENOM showcased Sonny Verde's artistry and further solidified his place in the hip-hop community. FREE VENOM includes a collective from THC The Heights Connect. 

Known for he’s laid back style of delivery, Sonny Verde is sure to reel you into he’s vivid world with he’s complex, raw, musical picture painting style of rap. Raised around New York music icons by likes of The Lox , The Diplomats and Jay-Z, its easy to notice the influence in he’s music. 
 
   After escalated issued with gun charges found its verdict, Sonny chose to take he’s talents to South Beach and further he’s musical path. Once migrated to the south part of Miami, he would later be introduced to new influences like Curren$y ,Lil Wayne, MMG & Gucci mane. 

With recent New York stalwarts like Denzel Curry, Kodak Black, Dave East & Desiigner successfully transitioning from the streets to fame, Verde is one of the new rising New York rappers who is poised to make an impact beyond the underground, and prove that New York is still a vibrant hub for new rap talent.
