C'était la fin des années 70 en Angleterre, le mouvement post-punk était en pleine lancée, le nez dans une aventure sombre. C'est aussi l'époque à laquelle And Also The Trees  s'est formé. 30 ans plus tard que reste t'il d'une des graines de ce contexte spatio-temporelle ? Aujourd'hui la silhouette de And Also The Trees règne en sage dans la brume, entre les grands fantômes de jadis (Cure, Smiths, Joy Division) et les groupes éphémères de notre époque. Discrets mais influents, And Also The Trees a su se tracer un parcours singulier, entre une folk païenne, un rock entêtant, ou encore une ambient glaçante, mais surtout une poésie unique, en marge. Paysage Britannique en tête,  mené par Simon Huw Jones, ALTT définissent à eux seuls le dandysme, la posture grave et fier de l'artiste.
