Jogada, the group behind PÚCA001, a Berlin-based trio made up by João Comazzi, Dave Murrin & Gavin Kenny. 

‘Cavalo' is their debut release and is the result of a string of weekly sessions held throughout the stagnant year of 2020, when they were forced to put their dancefloor energy into the studio. After years of friendship and sharing music together, they started exploring what happens when different musical backgrounds join forces.

The group is heavily inspired by traditional Brazilian rhythms, instruments, and sounds from nature, infused with some dusty synthesizers and a quest for exploring the unknown.

Aura Safari & Jimi Tenor's sublime Sensory Blending album yields its first set of remixes on Hell Yeah as Balearic Beat dream team Reverso 68 aka Phil Mison and Pete Herbert serve up two mixes of Your Magic Touch.

Reverso 68 is the studio-based project of Pete Herbert and Phil Mison, and over the last decade-plus, they have mastered the art of making music for swimming pools.

Aura Safari & Jimi Tenor's original vision of 'Your Magic Touch' is a loved-up groove with golden chords and a killer funky bassline buried beneath the lush chords, horns and flute leads. It's perfect sundown music which gets dubbed out by Reverso 68. Their version is more low-slung and deep with a mid-tempo four-four groove sprinkled with tropical percussion. The muted chords are gloriously dreamy and the whole thing is perfect for early evening warm-ups.

Their second Reverso 68 remix is a little more upright and direct but still soundtracks an island escape where the skies are blue and the cocktails are cold. The mending bass soon hooks you in while the chords drift up top to soul-soothing effect.

Summer might be over, but the good times will live on with this superb trio of escapist jams.

Sasha Foam, a renowned DJ, producer, and integral member of the TESTFM team as well as Night Lovers, has been steadily building a reputation for his distinctive sound and eclectic selections. With “Ilha Espacial,” he delves deeper into his experimental side, with a collection of six tracks that evoke feelings of interstellar exploration and late night introspection.

In 1978 Bernard Fevre decided to pretty much invent cosmic disco. The former library music producer had turned his hand to deliciously dark disco a few years before, but it was underground smash 'H-Friend' that really made him a force to be reckoned with on dancefloors the globe round. Well, apart from the fact that that record was, at the time, incredibly obscure. He then went from relative obscurity to total disappearance. 

In 2004 Rephlex reissued the Disco Club EP and a star was reborn. This time around, Alter K have decided to get a tonne of great acts to give Fevre a going over for a series of EPs. 

Today we're bringing you an exclusive listen to the "dance" EP featuring remixes from Africaine 808, Turzi, DJ Tide, and the legendary Andrew Weatherall.

As well holding down DJ residencies, Jan and Bene are responsible for musical policy and the venues' unique art direction helping Renate grow into the world-renowned underground mecca it has become today, boasting incredible house, techno and disco line-ups on a weekly basis.  When they are not involved in shaping Berlin’s nightlife landscape Peak & Swift can be found as a regular fixture on the festival calendar; regularly rocking discerning lines up from Gottwood, Secret Garden and Love International. Here their set for Clandestino is described as perfect for the car ride to a festival or hanging out at a sunny beach; starting with mellow, tropical house into more energetic and acid trancy stuff with an epic ending.

The duo were seen ducking in and out of the shadows of Berlin's most infamous clubs, before they finally found their home in the mysterious, Salon - Zur wilden Renate. Today, Peak helms the responsibilities of head booker while The Swift takes care of the one-of-a-kind flyer art and bookings of his own, while the pair simultaneously bang out hot tracks every weekend as residents. 

Together they have helped Renate grow from a club in its infancy to the world-renowned underground mecca it has become today, boasting incredible house, techno and disco lineups on a weekly basis, not to mention a series of open-air events and many wild themed parties throughout the year. For those of you who don't know Peak and Swift yet, it might be best for you to hop a plane to Berlin and catch them in their element in Zur wilden Renate, you will surely not be disappointed. Loser Records starting into the new year with the 8th edition of our Loser Podcast series, inviting our good friends and well-known Berlin DJ duo Peak & Swift.

Peak's origins are unknown, though it has been said he may have been raised deep in the Brokeback Mountains of East-Saxonia, but this is all mere speculation. Maturing (or not) in the club/rave scene and quickly picking up the art of DJing at the tender age of fifteen, he has made a name for himself in this urban jungle we call Berlin. 

The Swift was brought up by a less than normal band of carnies in southern Germany and spent much of his childhood in such far off places as Istanbul and Kolkata. Swift was first spotted in the Berlin area around the year 2000,  when he teamed up with his partner in crime, Peak.
 
They quickly melted their musical interests of house, disco and deep and dubby techno into a powerhouse sound that's main mission was banish the cold, dark, "minimal" sounds of that era in Berlin and warm the city up to the current sound that has taken over now.
