Milanese duo Eternal Love, AKA Edo and Fede, have quickly made a name for themselves through their joyful DJ sets which connect the dots between Balearic, disco and dusty classic house and breakbeat - check their recent mix for us to hear the vibes for yourself. Always bringing that little bit of soul to their musical endeavours, no matter the genre or style, the pair now translate this feeling to their debut release, a four track EP for Mike Who's Planet Trip Records. Listening to their sets and shows, the music on Altar is exactly what you'd expect the pair to create - it's packed with blissed-out Balearic, smooth street soul and acid-soaked house, best listened to in the sun with a spritz or natural wine in hand, of course.

Back in November 2022, Dyed Soundorom and Gene On Earth performed a stirring 3 hours long back-to-back in our Room 01. Along the way, the two protagonists deliver seamless transitions one after the other. Effortlessly.

Forging a voyage through house and beyond, the recording set is intuitively filled with flickering sounds and stripped-down grooves, as seductive as we like. Sometimes brainy yet made to make you move, it’s not your average artist combo. Nuggin’ it up!

‘Rule The Streets’ is Timothy “J” Fairplay’s latest album on his label Dungeon Module. After 2021’s ‘A Snowstorm In The Tropics’, 2023 has been a busy year for the label. In February Timothy released ‘Dungeon Module Volume 1’ followed by ‘I Lay Awake At Night Scheming’ in August.

 This album was recorded in Timothy’s current studio, with his Casio RZ-1 central to the set up. 8 raw jack tracks inspired by the early days of house music, and catches Timothy at his most minimal. The early days of the Chicago and Detroit and how they drew influence from Europe in their stripped back sound is an endless influence on Timothy’s work. The bumpy opener ‘Rule The Streets’ has a vocal refrain which sounds like something from a 70’s gang movie. ‘Insufficient Funds’ is a playful jam based around a junk shop delay unit. ‘Pleasure Beach’ an 8 bit house/funk beat track. ‘Back To The Stone Age’ with its flanger heavy percussion and a booming Adonis style vocal. Side B starts with ‘Instant Replay’ with its rolling 808 toms and white noise intro. ‘Safety Patrol’ has a deeper Mr Fingers feel, followed by the stalker-ish ‘Gang Bass’ with its sampled live bass and strings. Last of all is ‘Livin’ It Up’ made entirely with the sampler on the RZ-1 sounding like a Lil Louie demo. 

Released 1st December 2023. Cassette and Digital. Like previous releases on Dungeon Module the cassette version comes in a cool 80s computer game/90’s rave tape pack style case.

@sedefadasi's style is impossible to pin down. Embarking on her sonic journey, she fearlessly navigates her craft through a multifaceted universe of rhythms and genres, captivating dance floors with her everlasting groove and electrifying embrace. The best place to experience this rollercoaster is her own monthly HAMAM party at City club in Augsburg where she has invited plenty of international guests to join her. The Turkey-born, Germany-based artist is also a resident at Blitz Music Club and is set to join us at Dekmantel Selectors later in the summer, but first comes this week's podcast. 

It launches in seductive fashion with the moonlit deep house of Chicagoan Ben 'Cosmo' D then cruises through smooth but punchy grooves that stay low and bring hints of old-school cool in the basslines, stabs and drum breaks. Adasi's shift through the gears is almost imperceptible here as the pace quickens and the drums grow more physical. That is a testament to not only her smart selections but also to her ability to thread together these sounds quite so seamlessly.

Skatebård has been around for a long time, so his output should be familiar to electronic music lovers all around. Psycho & Plastic are determined to reintroduce a sense of wonder and adventure to both the dance floor and the home listening experience. Their new ambient album Placid House (May 8th 2020) focuses on the latter, deviating from the club-oriented releases of the previous year.

Recorded and produced in a mere three weeks after lockdown regulations took hold in their home Berlin, Placid House is an album of beatless ambient music made in and for these unprecedented times. Its eight instrumental tracks capture the essence of our trying times and transform it into sonic relief.

The growing number and diversity of Psycho & Plastic’s releases are testimony to their prowess as producers, composers, and performers. They won acclaim from international publications such as Data Transmission, Faze Magazin, DJ Mag Espana and others. In 2019, Psycho & Plastic’s music was championed by the late Andrew Weatherall in his last mix for BBC Radio 6 Music.
Trained musicians who have been working together for years, Alexandre Decoupigny and Thomas Tichai display stunning musicianship in their output. They also regularly tear up clubs and dance floors with rambunctious live sets of tripped out house and techno.
In true independent spirit, the duo operate their own label GiveUsYourGOLD, a home to Psycho & Plastic and a growing number of other artists and their nonconformist music.

We're so glad to get the electronic music producer duo Psycho & Plastic for our UR NOT ALONE mix series.  With this mix they presenting a familiar selection with ambient influenced music from a dozen of friends. Enjoy this relaxed sunday mood, get a sensitive touch and let your body be gold.
