Oxford-born, Melbourne-based DJ and producer Hedchef sits in a musical niche somewhere between jagged electro, sparse UK bass and moody techno. As a member of Oxford's notorious Deep Cover collective, and with releases on Circular Jaw, Eatmybeat and Dissident Sound, Hedchef has become known for his unpredictable approach to club sonics. His diverse DJ sets, encompassing a wide range of tempos and musical spectra, have seen Hedchef's low-end science grace dancefloors across the world - most recently at his own electro-focused event series Voltage, in Melbourne. Hedchef productions have seen support from the likes of Detroit In Effect, Jensen Interceptor, Solid Blake, I Hate Models, Kettama and Bielefeld Murder Boys.

"This mix was an absolute joy to stitch together - I haven't focused on techno for a while and it was a pleasure to remind myself of what makes the culture so much fun. I've focused on murky, broken-beat grooves, with unreleased cuts from Dan Miles, Wooda and myself along with modern classics from Lag and The Advent, with a few forays into four-to-the-floor territory and a dive straight into the fast-tempo freakout zone at the end. Particular shout out to False Persona, whose track 'Assisted Pulse' I'm calling as the most effective, functional club destroyer of the year so far. Large up Techno.logy kru."
