Un manoscritto, 
fogli ingialliti da quasi tre secoli di storia, apparentemente del tutto simili a quelli di centinaia di spartiti conservati con dedizione e cura nelle biblioteche di tutta Europa.
Queste pagine non sono però come tante, in esse è custodito uno scrigno di rara bellezza, in esse è preservata l’anima di un giovane uomo, un genio che nel creare questi suoni lotta contro il tempo, senza sapere se tempo gli sarà concesso per giungere al fine.
In queste pagine sono catturate tempeste di emozioni: la paura per la morte, la disperazione, la malinconia atroce e insopportabile, la devozione e la fede, la tenerezza, la fragilità, l’amore per la vita. Il terrore, l’angoscia, il bisogno di aiuto sapendo che nessun aiuto gli sarà concesso. E la solitudine, che solo da un amore capace di condividere il dolore può essere vinta.
In queste pagine è conservata una delle più alte espressioni del genio umano, a Dio Rivolto e da Dio Ispirato. 
Questo Manoscritto narra di un dramma, di un viaggio nel dolore. Questo manoscritto racconta la genesi di un capolavoro: lo Stabat Mater.

Auf dem Wasser zu singen, D. 774 “Mitten im Schimmer"

Life’s journey is never a straight arrow but a set of continuous circles. Just as we are full of anticipation before embarking on a new journey, we soon find ourselves looking forward to coming back home with more gratitude, appreciation and a deeper understanding of what was already there. 

While my debut album was centered around core clarinet repertoire, in the three albums that followed, I ventured out into mainstream classical music, transcribing and arranging some of my favorite classical works that were originally written for other instruments. 

Through this experiment, I trained myself to sing through my clarinet like an opera singer, phrase long melodies like a concert pianist and play like a virtuosic violinist. It also created opportunities to reach out to modern day composers of different styles, accumulating many new clarinet pieces and a few of them are included here. 

Taking on different paths allowed me to stretch my imagination and collect wonderful musical ideas. Coming back full circle, I am delighted to present to you some of my favorite clarinet classics from a fresh perspective. Cheers!

In December 2011, hosted by the Jeunesses Musicales Norway, the World Youth Choir performed a full concert at the University of Oslo concert hall "Aula" celebrating 200 years of the Oslo University as well as at the Nobel Peace Prize Award ceremony and at the Nobel Peace Prize Concert. It was a musical celebration like no other!

Fagéus works with some of Sweden’s most prominent musicians in chamber concerts and recordings both nationally and internationally. He also performs as a soloist with different symphonie and chamber orchestras. 
 
A passion for and long experience of pedagogics leads to many seminars and courses in clarinet playing, chamber music and Artistic Mental Training, which includes stage performance and leadership. His book ”Musical Flow” has also been published. 

Fagéus was employed as the principal clarinet player at the Royal Swedish Opera Orchestra for many years and as the concert master for the Stockholm Symphonic Wind Orchestra. 
 
He trained at the Royal College of Music (KMH) in Stockholm where he acquired a Soloist Diploma, and a pedagogical diploma, at the Juillard School of Music in New York. Fagéus has played on radio and TV programmes and in about 20 CD recordings that have received wide international acclaim. 
Fagéus has also, among other things, been awarded the former Swedish Institute for National Concerts’ debut scholarship, the Royal Swedish Academy of Music’ overseas scholarship, the Swedish Arts Council’s 10-year artist’s scholarship.
