A regular to labels such as Planet Mu and Ninja Tune since 2009 and 2011 respectively, FaltyDL has managed to carve himself a robust discography where quality rarely dips. His most recent outing, a return to Planet Mu, saw him adopt his own name Drew Lustman for The Crystal Cowboy, an album that he describes as being an examination of into what got him into music in the first place. We caught up with Drew for a quick chat: discussing his label Blueberry and forthcoming releases from Elysia Crampton, as well as talking about collaborations with Le1f and and creating music for film directors such as Terrence Malick. Describing making mixes as being somewhat like the job of a sommelier, his Truancy Volume is a contrasting but well paired affair, focusing on what sounds balanced well together instead of just using tempo as a mixing tool. There's jungle alongside folk, and folk alongside footwork, all coming together in unity like "a warm bullet". Clocking in at just under hour you'll be working through forthcoming Blueberry records, as well as music from AFX, Traxman and Luke Vibert under his Plug alias to name a very few.

Here is my official remix for SNBRN's gangsta walk! It was such an honor to work with Nate Dogg's vocals. This dude changed the R&B game forever and was one of my favorites growing up as a kid. Shoutout one more time to snbrn for letting me hop on the remix and including it in the 2016 Ultra Music Festival Compilation!!

Gangsta Gangsta ft. Baby Eazy-E (Original Mix)

Across the street from where Trouw used to be, lies a nice little hotel. It was in the basement of this hotel, where a curious meeting happened. Something so coincidental and so unassumingly trivial, that even the slightest event of randomness could have prevented this from ever happening, yet it did happen and here we are. 
This curious meeting was the result of an open studio door of Nachtbraker, and the hint of disco coming out the door, where Dr. San Proper just happened to pass by in search of whatever it is he searches for at 10 am on a Tuesday. The good doctor decided to walk in, greeted Nachtbraker in his ordinary weird way and casually grabbed a microphone. Nachtbraker pressed record, Dr. Proper got his inner Mick Jagger on, and behold: Misses, madame, mademoiselle was born: an up-tempo disco groove with Nachtbraker’s touch of loose arrangement, and San Proper’s amazing vocals. We asked our good friends and great producer duo Session Victim to re-interpret M.m.m. and they gave it a great dreamy-but-groovy twist, adding pads and shufﬂing hi-hats. 
We had already heard Nachtbraker working on a deep house – meets – afro track a while back and he made 2 versions of this track to complement the EP. Hamdi is probably one of the most euphoric tracks in his discography to date, and it’s one you’re likely to hear a lot in the coming time. With the use of chopped vocals (we’ll let you ﬁgure out the source material) and a teasing build up, the track breaks down into a lovely chant, adding energy with every bar without ever coming close to being tacky or overproduced. The alternate version is an excursion into 808 booty territory, using different chops, alienating loops and yes, even a siren.

German producer who has so far released his music at such world renowned imprints as Steve Bug's Pokerflat, fryhide curated by HOSH, John Digweed's Bedrock which are the main but far not all on Tim's achievements list.
Tim's remix is a steady filler of electric filtered bass which comes as a bone of this brilliant version.
Progressive nature of 'Dioxide' with a dramatic melodies leads us to Eastern flavored 'Root'. 
Firmly built brand style of The Organism can be heard here in this release, whilst we work, keep and can't wait to share more music with you this year.

Denis Horvat returns to Afterlife Recordings for a second EP of distinctive, dancefloor productions.

A year after ‘Modelo’ comes ‘Miracle Of The Rose’, an evocative and authentic development of Horvat’s sound. On ‘Noise’, the vocals of Lelah give way to a stripped-down, reverberant groove. The title track rises with a free-flowing melody before dropping a tough, angular beat. ‘Divin’ is the EP’s deepest cut, before digital only track ‘Royale’ rounds off this diverse release with flair.
