Class Of 1981

OZAN (#stillmiami) is the DJ project of musical whizz Ozan Bozdag. Surrounded by all sorts and types of music, selecting them carefully into his sets. 

Bringing a 4/4 mix of dirty electro, dark basses, timeless melodies, ethnic anthems and pounding Techno music to the dancefloor.

Born and raised in Izmir, Turkey; Ozan started his career on birth, receiving blood from a local musician. This story defines the path on how Ozan sees music till this day. 

Classical music training and moving to Belgium started to give Ozan more opportunities. Playing in local rockbands in his early teens, enrolling in a music high school and conservatory afterwards. 
The beatmaster and key virtuoso started spinning the decks after co-producing OSCAR AND THE WOLF’s award-winning debut “ENTITY” and shaping the live-set of the band. With a lot to celebrate, parties and afterparties became somewhat of a second habitat for this Turkish multi-musician. After many nights that ended with him behind the decks spinning his favorite tunes, bringing his set to bigger crowds.

He continues to share his talent with others on songwriting and (live) production. In his down time he continues to work on his own music, which will be released in the near future.

“During my set anything goes, whether it’s an melodic-techno classic track or an ethnic deep house banger, it just has to sound deep and tingly. You dig?”

In this series, I create a lengthy mix, solemnly made with carefully selected music, intertwined with historical audio recordings, and recognisable or less recognisable movie quotes. 
All of them exactly 40 years old in the year I constructed the mix.

This concept started in 2019, with a mix from 1979.

And off we go, every year, one new edit.
