So the last 6 or 7 remixes I've done, going all the way back to last fall, have been of originals that I (and everyone else) had been listening to for a while and knew inside and out.  Kanye, All of You, Runaway - all amazing tracks, all been streamed on Spotify like 40 million times.  As much as I love working with songs that have a huge audience already, there's something special about being the first artist to remix a track ahead of it's release, especially if it's from a new artist.  

A little while back Republic hit me up asking if I wanted to remix High On Love, and it was my first time hearing the incredibly talented @classactress -  I was sold right away, cause the girl can SING.  I'm really proud of how this one turned out - it's something different from the progressive house I usually put out, but still packs the energy people expect from my tunes.  This one is all about mellow breakdowns, melodic drops, and good vibes - if this isn't beach music, I don't know what is.

Funny but true -

2 - Will Smith is now older than Uncle Phil was when Fresh Prince started.  Just let that one sink in for a moment.

3 - If you go to Chipotle and order something with half one meat and half another, they just give you twice as much for free.  You're welcome.

4 - This remix is dedicated to hitchBOT, the lovable hitchhiking robot who was decapitated in Philly this weekend.  This only confirms what any East Coaster already knows - Philly people are crazy as f.  

5 - This remix is also dedicated to Meek Mill, who's having the worst week of anyone in world history.

Gnom is a hidden DJ/selector from Paris. His musical taste bloomed with the new wave scene back in the eighties. Seven years ago he moved from visual art to music and started recording his own mixes. Now his range goes from French Synthwave (with the “Parlez vous Français“ series) to the actual downtempo electro scene (from Nein to Emerald & Doreen Rec, for instance) to more analog wave sounds (with labels like Carisma, Waste, UPR, and many others). In 2018 he released a mix for Something Spaecial which brought a much wider audience to his experiments. Just recently, he had acclaimed participation on Camping Electronique 8TH Edition. For SXDNS he recorded a large selection of very different styles, his favourite exercise.
