With leagues of experience operating across the Detroit scene, Rimarkable is known for her unwavering knowledge of where electronic music comes from and where it is going. Growing up heavily influenced by Black gospel music, her selections as a DJ, producer and broadcaster bring together a wider understanding of funk, jazz, rock, gospel and soul that is unlike any other in the biz. 

For this latest release on Classic, the Afro-Latina from Detroit teams up with fellow curator, tastemaker out of NYC, SACRED H3ART. Founding member of R.E.A.D. and Ancient Deep, he emerged with a debut album last year that was met with critical acclaim. Two revered icons of the electronic music industry come together for an expertly crafted funk house release. ‘Come On Over’ marks the much-anticipated return of two-time Grammy-nominated writer, producer, and remixer Luke Solomon to his own imprint Classic, this time in collaboration with Detroit’s own Motor City native Amp Fiddler. The soul singer and multi-instrumentalist adds a groove-laden sensibility to the single, demonstrating a timeless, signature sound built over the course of a four-decade career.

Love Attack Records owner Alan Dixon joins forces with Homoelectric resident Will Tramp for the gospel house Glitterbox release ‘Sunday Stomper’. Over the past two decades, the two DJs and producers have established themselves as respected nightlife experts; Alan for his longstanding residency at Savage, London in addition to appearances at CircoLoco and The Warehouse Project, while Will’s Mancunian club experience Tramp! was host to a plethora of huge names in the industry such as Kraftwerk’s Wolfgang Fur, Chromeo and Justice. 

Alan’s usual synth-led sound makes way for a piano-driven hi-octane vibe, fusing with Tramp’s disco sensibilities for ‘Sunday Stomper’, a high energy floorfiller featuring euphoric, sermon-like vocals. The Piano Preacher Mix brings the melody and live instruments to the fore, while the Do It Right Dub builds over time using heavy vocal manipulation.
