BEATS WORKING are a 4 piece guitar orientated rock band from the UK, led by guitarist/songwriter John Hardman. John's career stretches back a long way. Starting out in the mid seventies with rock/pop band Sunfighter on EMI, being the main songwriter and guitarist for that band, his career has also led him to write and produce work for many other bands/projects and work with a number of major producers such as Roy Thomas Baker, Gus Dudgeon and Chris Rainbow. In 1986 John formed Beats Working as a vehicle for the many songs he has written. Beats Working have so far made 10 albums, a compilation singles album and an EP 'No More Tomorrows' released in 2007. Latest album is 'No More Unfinished Tomorrows'.  Their  album "Calm" has been receiving great reviews from music press all over the world. Their music has been likened in influence to various other well known rock and progressive rock bands, but is definitely their own special Beats Working sound - a special blend of song based rock that is gradually achieving critical acclaim everywhere.

Beginnings

Previously unreleased in-game music from the PC strategy game Kingdom Commander.  Ambient-ish fantasy-ish gameplay music with some brief guest vocals from my ultra-talented wife, mezzo-soprano Joy Dorsch.

(Epic) I Am Eternal

This 2011 demo was a proof of concept for an album project.  This particular iteration is a rough mix with no vocals that I rendered out to send to the drummer for the project (the mighty Hunter Ginn of Canvas Solaris).  It's incomplete, but I am really pleased with overall "cinematic orchestral post rock/metal" vibe.  The project ended up on hold due to my production schedule, but I am hoping to get back to it in 2013.  Grab the download for better quality.
