Longtime ago I had this recurring nightmare, a typical scene of being chased,  by something very frightening... 
I was running away from something very scary, down lanes, roads and passageways. In one of these dreams I ran so fast I had to jump over a fence that suddenly appeared in front of me,
 as I leapt over it I took off!  , I was flying!... flying through this city, 
 anyways, back to the point. Years later I had the nightmare again, but this time I was frightened so much I woke up ! 
 at that point I realised this was that old recurring nightmare, 
so I decided to go straight back to sleep and try to bring that nightmare back and go looking for what ever was chasing me remembering it was just a dream. And I did just that!
...in dreams you can be invincible :)

After our previous collaboration, I was so pleased when EllE (Cycle of Hands) agreed to work with me again on this new track, both with the music and vocals. It has not exactly been an easy ride and I have to admit that at times I almost gave up on it...but I am so, so glad that we both persevered, as '4am' has become something rather special and unique. Huge thanks to EllE. She is - and always will be - a star.

So we can all get back to normal! These are very testing times right now. Our lives are changing before our eyes....change is inevitable. We all need change for a better future.x

Sometimes music for me is a state of mind. I try to express my vision of things. That year was difficult in many ways.

The attacks in France and the illness of a small child in the family made that year a bad memory.

Now, the anguish of people affected by coronavirus, the deaths and the uncertainty of a broken future make me think of a similar year.

I just hope this nightmare ends soon.

hello
here is my last composition, it is for the audiokeys competition, the theme is simple : compose a track in a funky or electro type including the accordeon instrument.
for the accordeon i use goliath from the EW composer cloud, i add a distortion, a bitcrusher and a little delay on it
the other instrument is synth sound, korg mini pops, some sound from the synthmaster player , the rythm is a korg electrib ER1, and the vocoder speech is sampled from my toys speak and math from texas instrument

Neil Hunter - Empathy

On April 21st of this year, a lone and deranged gunman went on a killing spree of my countrymen in the province of Nova Scotia killing 22 people including a police officer.  Adding to this horrific tragedy is the fact that people were not able to publicly mourn their loss due to the lockdown requirements in place.  This composition is in commemoration of this deeply sad event.
